This area is collectively known as the North‐ East sector of Greater Manchester and has a population of around 820,000. Our technologies are based around but not limited too; Microsoft Windows7, App‐V & UEV, Thin Clients, Self Service Portals, Virtual Desktop, IPADS, Windows 8 Tablets, centralised printers, remote support, Citrix, VMWare, SharePoint & Mobility Solutions, Windows server, VOIP, Cisco, UCS and NetApp. Service Delivery Manager – Data Centre Band 8a £36,623 ‐ £43,948 35 hours per week Ref No. 352‐SCD‐15‐N14 We are seeking to recruit a Service Delivery Data Centre Manager to work within the Information Management and Technologies Department (IM&T). We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused individual to undertake the above post. You will lead a team of 4 Data Centre Technicians, a Communications Manager and 4 Communications Technicians and be responsible for the overall management of the Data Centre and the Trusts telecommunications network. You will lead, coach and mentor this team to be highly motivated, customer focused and responsive for the provision of a professional information support service. The primary objective of this post is to be accountable and to coordinate the delivery of the Data Centre Service to the Trust and to be the custodian of continued server, telecoms/ network availability, resilience and performance. The post applies governance across all areas of core infrastructure services. The post is accountable for the successful delivery of the following ITIL functions: Service Design – Capacity Management, Availability Management, IT Service Continuity Management Service Transition – Release and Deployment Management Service Operations – IT Operations Management, Technical Management. You will work alongside other managers within IM&T in delivery of the IM&T Strategy. You will be educated to degree standard (or equivalent experiential learning), hold an ITIL Intermediate level/ ITIL Service Operations qualification, Microsoft Certified Professional and/or Specialist Qualifications and Prince 2 Practitioner level. You will also have experience in staff management, management of resources, management of third party suppliers’ and customer relations and able to demonstrate management of complex infrastructures supported by strong governance frameworks. The role will require an individual with highly developed communication, negotiation and motivation skills and the ability to ensure the service provided aligns with the requirements of the Trust’s strategic objectives.
