An opportunity has arisen for a focused individual with solid experience in providing executive administration and support services to GCB’s Chief Executive Officer. JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES Main job duties/responsibilities: Provide the full spectrum of executive and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, which would include, among other duties: managing all aspects of the CEO’s office (e.g. screening calls, emails and correspondence; management of diary; typing, faxing and/or emailing documentation; etc.) attending to all local and international travel needs for the CEO (planning, booking flights and accommodation, visas, forex, transfers, etc.) financial administration for the CEO’s office; communicating and responding to stakeholder requests and/or queries; Assist the CEO in coordinating all matters pertaining to the office of the CEO, including such matters around events and matches, in conjunction with the Events team, which would include attending to VIP guests and table management in the Longroom; Planning and organising of executive meetings, seminars and conferences as requested by the CEO; Preparation of presentations, minutes of CEO’s meetings, provide secretarial support during meetings of the CEO, and attend to matters needing to be followed up; Gauteng Cricket Board (Non Profit Company in terms of the Companies Act 71, 2008, as amended) Reg. Skills, Qualifications and Experience A minimum of 5 years in a Secretarial/Administration or similar role A legal secretarial background would be a huge advantage Previous experience as an executive assistant would be an advantage Relevant Secretarial or Office Administration diploma/certificate Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point Experience and ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information Unquestionable integrity with an appreciation for high ethical standards Good oral and written communication skills Ability to remain calm and able to work under pressure In addition the following would be important: a good attitude and excellent interpersonal skills, Sound Analysis, Judgment and Problem Solving, Solid Planning & Organising ability, Attention to Detail, Ability to work independently and as part of a team, Multi-tasking ability, Adaptability, Initiative, Discrete, Results focused and Self Motivated, Ability to work well under pressure.
