Functional Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Programme Manager (PM), the Engineer Supervisor (ES) will provide construction supervision and field coordination,ensuring high quality and consistency of work, for UNOPS Infrastructure projects in Brazil. The ES will promote a collaborative, clientfocused,quality and results-oriented approach in the Unit. The ES responsibilities and duties are: Responsible for operational management of the Project Participate in the initial project design, formulation, preparation and evaluation of TORs SPWs, proposals and/ or BoQs Supervise all construction works and ensure that the norms, regulations, and plans are respected Prepare and coordinate project meetings, undertake periodic progress reports as well as any of the reports requested by the PM Manage work plans for all activities of the project including works implemented through external service providers, and shall report directly to the Programme Manager Liaise with other project partners including external service providers for planning, training, community awareness programmes and social mobilization as required and/ or established by project document Make contributions to manage health and safety plans for all sites under his/ her jurisdiction Any other business as directed by the Programme Manager Perform other related duties as required. Knowledge of English and Spanish (fluent) is an asset.
