Volume 218, Issue 2 www.quakercityshrine.com Feb. 2015 What’s New Around LuLu A Message from the President Dear Nobles and Ladies: Dear Nobles and Ladies: I want to thank everyone for attending our installation brunch. We had a great turnout of over 50 Nobles and Ladies. KC Prime did an outstanding job. Laird is to be commended for being the MC. It is important to thank our officers for 2014 and give them a pat on the back for doing an outstanding job. There are a significant number of times when someone does something and we hear that something is wrong. We don't tell our officers and members how well they did all the other times. We need to do that more. On January 24, 2015 LuLu will once again host a Breakfast With The Grand Master. This affair honors the RWGM and the Ill Potentate of LuLu Shrine. This is a great opportunity to hear what our RWGM’s plans are for the upcoming year as well as hear from the Potentate. It is also a great way to get men in your Lodge interested in joining LuLu Shrine and QCMSC. We have not taken a table this year since most of our members seem to prefer sitting with their Lodges. I am looking forward to seeing you there. Don’t forget to bring your Fez! As we move into 2015, our February 4th meeting is at Giuseppe's Pizza and Family Restaurant, 1380 West Street Road, Warminster, PA. This should be an outstanding meeting with Fabian Ulitsky, a psychologist with over 50 years of clinical and teaching experience in Philadelphia as our speaker. He will offer a refreshing view of Love and Marriage in our modern era. His talk will include some of the lies we were taught and many of our common misconceptions on this topic. He will provide dynamic insights and psychological understanding concerning the causes of “Marital Blitz” and offer some solutions for resolving them There will be a “Golden Oldies” night in the main ballroom at LuLu on February 13th. Details have not been posted on our website yet, but you can go to www.lulushriners.org and go to the calendar for updates. Our March 5th meeting will be a men's night out. I am still trying to firm up the restaurant. Our April meeting will be held on Sunday April 12th. The restaurant has yet to be determined.. There will be a discussion about Shriner's Hospital and an upcoming Walk-A-Thon to be held on April 26th. Continued on Page 2 On March 15th Lulu Shrine will celebrate The 6 Annual National Women’s History Month with a Ladies only luncheon. The luncheon will run from 12 noon to 3:00 PM. The featured speaker is Pearl Polto. She is a nationally known author, Talk Show host and credit expert. The cost is $15 per person and includes a light lunch, dessert and beverages. RSVP by March 7, 2015. See the back page of the Fez for more info. th Our annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held on March 22nd. Continued on Page 2 PAGE 1 What’s New Around LuLu A Message from the President Continued from Page 1 Continued from Page 1 The Walk-A-Thon will be for the benefit of Shriner's Hospital. More information will follow. Please just keep the date open. I hope to see you around at our meetings and at LuLu Temple.
