February 2015 Big Country Emmaus Community Newsletter
Big Country Emmaus Community meets the 1st Tuesday of each month. The next
Emmaus Community will be Tuesday, Februaury 3, at Highland Church of Christ,
425 Highland St. Babe Chick Orientation begins at 6:00pm. Praise and Worship at
6:30pm. Childcare is provided for ages 9 and under. Come out and welcome all
the new pilgrims of walk #201 and others who haven't experienced Big Country
Emmaus yet! Let's pack the house at Highland this month!!
A Note from your Community Lay Director:
Yes, we are commanded to love one another but I know sometimes that is hard.
Now my husband and I have been married a long time and I know sometimes we
get frustrated with each other... Thursday night we had gone out to send off to
support Walk 201. We had just parked in the area where the pilgrims are dropped
off. I commented "They're going to think you are trying to drop me off but the
women's walk is next month." And my husband with all his words of wisdom said,
"Can I leave you here till then?"
Now, I know he was only joking but sometimes we may really feel that way. Then
a couple days later, at candlelight I was reminded of two things: #1 How truly
great God's love is for us and then # 2 How amazing it was to share that
unconditional love with the pilgrims that night.
As we walk this year together, remember to forgive always and love much!
