Satisfied exhibitos
Are you needing to recruit? At the
Bazaar, you have an excellent
chance of finding prospective
employees and forging valuable
contacts for the future.
This encourages many exhibitors
to come back to the Bazaar year
after year. We usually count some
10,000 visitors during the two days.
Approximately 5,700 people
attended the Recruitment section
of the Bazaar last time. In a survey
conducted at the event in 2014, 95
percent of employers who had jobs
to offer replied that they had made
contact with visitors that they
believed they would take on as
employees. What the visitors especially appreciate about the Bazaar
is that they get the chance to meet
employers face to face.
88 percent of the exhibitors in the
Education/Training section felt
they had benefited from participating. Approximately 5,700 people
came to get information on higher
education and other training for
adults, or to get guidance on how
to get an assessment made of
foreign certificates or degrees
Of exhibitors in Café Starta Eget
(Business Start-up section) a majority responded that they would be
interested in exhibiting again at
the Bazaar in 2014. Around 2,300
people came to get information
on all the most important aspects
of starting a business – business
plans, book-keeping, accounting,
sales, taxes, software and more.
Educational level
of visitors
A visitor survey* conducted at the
most recent Bazaar shows that the
majority of those attending have
a high or very high level of education. All of 35% have a tertiary-level
degree, 47% have a medium-high
level of education (upper secondary school, post-upper secondary
vocational training, or tertiary-level
studies without a degree).
Only 18% has solely completed
compulsory school or lower.
The survey was able to confirm
that the majority of courses and
programmes in most areas of
society are represented among
the visitors to the Bazaar.
International skills
A total of 5% of visitors were born
in the Nordic region outside of
Sweden, 22% in Europe outside the
Nordic region, and 22% outside of
Europe. Half (51%) were born in
Sweden.
Of the visitors, 45% are men and
55% women.
As illustrated in the diagram, the
division between visitors in terms
of age is very even.
Visitor age
Engineers, IT experts,
nursing staff, sales reps ...
Qualified engineers, graduate
business administrators, architects,
economists, chemists, arts graduates, researchers, teachers, educators, child minders, nurses and
nursing assistants, doctors, project
managers, behavioural scientists,
computer and systems scientists,
sales representatives, security
guards and cleaners are examples
of what visitors are educated in
or work with.
Have professional
experience
Almost all visitors, 90%, have professional experience of an average
of 8.9 years. Older visitors naturally
have more professional experience
than younger ones.
On page 4 you will find some exhibitors’ comments.

Exhibitors’ testimonials about the Bazaar
“In our experience, the Bazaar
has been very positive as we’ve
had the chance to meet several
interesting candidates. The flow
of people is large and in previous
years, our attendance has resulted
in several successful recruitments.
Sector Alarm is the second largest
supplier of home alarm systems in
Europe, and we also see the Bazaar
as a great opportunity to forge
contacts with other exhibitors,
which in turn can lead to exciting
collaborations in the future.
So we’re delighted to have the
opportunity to take part in 2015.”
Joakim Malmberg
Sales manager, Sector Alarm,
Sweden
“The Bazaar is a golden opportunity for all those interested in
and curious about education and
training. The fact that the Kulturhuset venue is in central Stockholm
and has generous opening hours
makes it possible for a large
number of people to visit the
Bazaar.
There is great cultural diversity
among the visitors, and questions
vary from small details to bigger
issues. Some of the visitors who
come to us already have a qualification in healthcare, for example,
from their homeland and wish to
know how they can validate it in
relation to Swedish criteria. We
careers advisers are at the Bazaar
to help show possible paths for
those wanting to work with
improving people’s health.”
Eva Feron
General careers adviser
Karolinska Institutet

“It’s always a pleasure to get out
and meet entrepreneurs, and the
Bazaar is both pleasant and well
organised. Those visiting the
Bazaar are an interesting target
group for us, and we learn a great
deal by talking to them about what
they expect from us as a bank.”
