GROUP EXERCISE COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
WATER CLASSES (Please note we do not hold classes on rainy days)
Aqua Fitness An athletic-based water fitness class focused on strengthening and toning, A combination of exercises performed in deep and shallow water.
CARDIO & STRENGTH
BODYPUMP™ is the original barbell class that challenges all of your major muscle groups by using exercises such as squats, lifts, presses, and curls. Set to
fun and energetic music with high-energy and motivating instructors.
CARDIO EXPRESS is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws
from a wide variety of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi, and Muay Thai.
BODYFLOW ™is a Yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates inspired workout leaving you long, strong, calm and centered. FEEL BALANCED, REDUCE STRESS, INCREASE
JOINT FLEXIBILITY AND CORE STRENGTH.
BOSU/TRX format focuses on balance and strength while incorporating the TRX Suspension Training System. Familiar exercises like leg raises, crunches and
push-ups are performed on the BOSU/TRX and are guaranteed to build strength and increase flexibility.
Boot Camp is guaranteed to challenge you! Class formats include the use of steps, weights, bands, plyometric, and more in order to simulate a militaryquality cardio and strength-training experience. This class involves both indoor and outdoor exercises.
Burn blends high cardio intervals for optimal calorie burning and resistance training to build metabolism boosting muscle mass in a format designed to help
transform your body.
Cardio Dance is a mixture of various dance formats designed to let you dance your way to fitness!
Circuit Training / GFC This 50-minute circuit training class includes both strength training & aerobic conditioning. Perfect for seniors, beginners, and/or
people who are not used to exercising or those that may be physically limited.
Cycling / Ab Lab provides a shorter ride followed by 20 minutes of ab work – a great format for beginners, or an opportunity for more experienced riders to
push their intensity. Bikes have SPD clips. Cycling class requires a “ticket to ride” that is available one hour prior to class time at the member services desk.
CX Worx™ Based on cutting-edge scientific research, this program is the ultimate way to get a tight and toned core. With dynamic training that hones in on
your abs, glutes, back and oblique’s.
Outdoor Conditioning is guaranteed to challenge you! Format includes a variety of outdoor fitness conditioning challenges. A fat blasting combination of
cardio, weights, conditioning, and abs! This class is held outdoors.
Total Fit incorporates dumbbells, resistance bands, stability balls and more. A complete total body workout that can be geared to all levels of fitness.
Total Fit Boot Camp is guaranteed to burn calories and challenge you. Class formats include the use of steps, weights, bands, plyometric and more in order
to simulate a military-quality cardio and strength-training experience.
TRX is a fun and dynamic TRX Training workout that builds strength, flexibility and endurance while burning calories and strengthening your core. TRX
classes will improve your performance in daily activities, recreation and sports.
Y-Barre This invigorating workout is guaranteed to change your body. Using the ballet barre, these classes are designed to give you a long, lean physique
using elements of Ballet, Pilates and Yoga. Barre exercises rely on one’s body weight for resistance, and the moves designed to challenge your core stability
and balance.
Zumba ® is the Latin-inspired dance class set to energetic and inspiring music. The Zumba ® motto – “Ditch the workout, join the party!”
Kidz Zumba is an energetic, heart pumping Latin-inspired dance class for AGES 6-11 only!
MIND/BODY
Core Fusion fuses Pilates, Yoga and other disciplines in one challenging, core strengthening class.
Gentle Yoga is a restorative format which provides muscular balance and flexibility. This is the perfect class for active older adults and those with physical
limitations.
Mat Pilates focuses on strengthening and stretching the abdomen and torso. Techniques used include proper breathing and muscle control.
Yoga used classic yoga postures to build strength and stamina. Participants learn proper breathing techniques.
ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS
Circuit Training / GFC This is a 50-minute circuit training class held in the GlucoFit room including both strength training & aerobic conditioning. Perfect for
seniors, beginners, and/or people who are not used to exercising or those that may be physically limited.
SILVERSNEAKERS® is a fun mix of cardiovascular exercise and strength training that can be geared to many different fitness levels. Work is done in a
chair, standing, or using a combination of both.
