K. Naseeruddin Bidi Merchant Pvt. Ltd. Code no. BR/1365, he wants to know details of employees of Begusarai and Samstipur districts who have applied for pension under various schemes, copies of their application other related information. Grounds for the Second Appeal: The CPIO has not provided the desired information. Relevant Facts emerging during Hearing: The following were present Appellant: Mr. Noman Firoz Nomani through VC M: 09525251575 Respondent: Mr. C M Choudhary CPIO’s representative through VC M: 09430579986 The CPIO’s representative stated that the appellant had sought copies of documents submitted by all pensioners under code No. BR/1365 without giving any details like the name of pensioner, PPO number etc. and without minimum details it is not possible to cull out the information. He further stated that the information relates to third party(s), is personal in nature and cannot be disclosed as no public purpose has been demonstrated. The appellant submitted that some claimants are drawing widow pension based on bogus death certificate and he had lodged a complaint with the vigilance department of the EPFO but no action has been taken. The CPIO’s representative stated that if the appellant gives them a list of such claimant(s) he will depute an enforcement officer for investigation and provide a copy of the report to him. The appellant agreed. Page 1 of 2 Decision notice: As stated by the CPIO’s representative he should depute an enforcement officer and provide a copy of his report within 45 days from the date the appellant furnishes particulars of the claimants.
