JOHN’S RESPECT LIFE It is the goal of this ministry to protect and foster respect for life and to offer practical and spiritual support in any way we can for those in search of it. FOOD BASKET MINISTRY We continue with our collection of nonperishable food. Our pantry is a little low due to the amount of food we donated for our Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive. We have many families in need in our area. Right now we are in need of cereal, oatmeal, jelly and soup. As always please check the expiration dates as we cannot distribute expire food. Also, we do not accept clothing donations as we have no way to distribute them. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, Poor Boxes are located at the front entrance to the Church. Our Council is open to all Catholic gentlemen who wish to become a member. JOHN The first meeting of the New Year is behind us and a good one it was. All of our ladies shined like the stars that they are. Our next meeting will be on Monday, February 16th at 6:30PM. This evening will be our let’s celebrate the Chinese New Year with Chinese food ($8) and a Chinese auction. No need to bring anything...just yourselves. Dress in oriental attire if you choose..it’s always fun to be with us. We are one short of 100 members strong, so come join us and let’s break that 100 and make it a great year! Don’t forget that our Fashion Show Luncheon is coming up on Saturday, February 21st from 11am-3pm in the Parish Hall. Tickets are $35 per person and can be purchased at our meeting or at the Parish Office. Delicious food from Joseph’s Market will be served and we will have some very exciting fashions, entertainment and raffles planned. Our fashions are from Patchington’s of Regency Court.
