This 40’ USRA steel box car with single door is painted brown with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf
trucks.. In 1929-30, 7,500 50-ton steel box cars of a new design were built for CP Railway. This was the
first large group of steel box cars built and operated in Canada.

This 39’ single dome tank car is black with yellow and red logo. Built in 1956 by Graver Tank and
Manufacturing, there were 150 in the series 68100-69999. This was leased to Hercules Powder
Company, a large explosives manufacturer.
This heavyweight depressed center flat car is iron sesqui-oxide with white lettering. Built by Erie
Railroad at the Meadville Shops in 1958 from one-piece cast nickle steel underframe, it carried
loads making the best use of the car’s 24” above rail deck height.

This 50’ flat car is painted Olive Drab with white lettering and carries a 40’ Navy Grey container
featuring real WWII nose art know as ‘Kentucky Belle’. Like many planes in WWII, this bomber was
decorated with custom artwork by its pilot to personalize the plane. The ‘Kentucky Belle’ was part of
the 8th Air Force, the 446th Bomb Group, and the 706th Squadron.

These 89’ tri-level closed auto racks are painted yellow and have the black and white TTX logo, black lettering and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. The first auto racks had exposed sides that led to vehicle damage from vandalism
and weather. In the early 1970’s the railroads started to enclose them with steel mesh. Auto racks are one of the most commonly seen cars on the railroads today.

This 50’ standard box car with plug door and no roofwalk is part of series 499000 - 499299. In 1957
UP built an additional 200 insulated class BI-50-2 cars at the Omaha shops. They were almost identical to the BI-50-1 class. This car was serviced in 1975 and was painted with the bold red lettering
scheme and slogan of the 1970s.

Burlington Northern Powered F7A & F7B Units
These powered locomotives, two A-units and two B-units, are both painted green and black with white logos and lettering. They were built by EMD, Electro-Motive Diesel owned by Caterpillar through its subsidiary Progress Rail Services Corporation. The A-unit was built in
February 1950 and the B-unit was built in May 1951. In 1970 Northern Pacific, Chicago, Burlington & Quincy, and other lines were merged to form the Burlington Northern.

featuring 7 prototypical Baby Ruth freight cars from the
1920’s and early 30’s. This series will consist of six colorful
billboard reefers and one tank car, all displaying elaborate
ads for Baby Ruth which was owned then by Curtiss Candy
Company. Baby Ruth was acquired by Nabisco in 1981
and Nabisco sold the Curtiss brands to Nestlé in 1990.
N scale reefers will be released in 36’ or 40’ lengths with
proper fishbelly or truss-rod underframes according to the
original reefer.

Ontario Northlands / Schneider TOFC– Pacific Western Rail Systems
Pacific Western Rail Systems is pleased to announce the third and fourth issues in our “Canadian Trailer on Flat Car Series” - Limited Run PWRS–Micro-Trains Runner Packs. Both packs will feature three Ontario Northland
(ONT) 57’ Converted TOFC Flat Cars painted blue with white lettering and zig zag herald. They were built 1952 by National Steel Car, Ontario as part of Ontario Northlands series 100400-100413 and ride on roller bearing
trucks.
Both of these Ontario Northland 57’ TOFC Packs will feature 3 different Schneiders® trailers with orange AC Units. Pack #1 will have 2 clear print and 1 faded print face on the trailers and will feature orange AC units. Pack
#2 will have 1 clear print and 2 faded print face with white AC Units. Schneider Foods, known for over 120 years for their quality meats, is one of Canada’s largest producers of premium quality food products.
By combining 3-Packs from this and future releases, modellers will be able to build a prototypically accurate consist of these cars, as seen across Canada and the United States.
Additional costs are involved in this project because of the detailed artwork on the trailers. Each 3-packs sells for $159.95.
