Prepared By Checked By Approved By SSE/TI ADE/OHE(D) DTI/OHE(D) Signature Designation Page 1 of 4 1.0 SCOPE: This schedule covers the technical requirement manufacture and supply to forged steel fittings and SGCI fittings. 2.0 GENERAL DETAILS: INFRASTRUCTURE & for MANUFACTURING Manufacturer should have adequate covered accommodation for Storing raw material finished items awaiting dispatch and arranging Inspection. Manufacturer should have system to ensure that products conforms to forged steel fittings/SGCI fittings RDSO’S Specification No. TI/SPC/OHE/Fittings/0130(10/13)(latest). 2.1 MACHINERY & PLANT: Following machinery and plant of suitable capacity should be available2.1.1 for Forged Steel Fittings: (i) Drop hammer (ii) Forging screw press (iii) Power press (iv) Oil fired furnace (v) Bench grinder of various capacities. (vi) Hacksaw machine (vii) Spark Erosion Machine (viii) Milling Machine (ix) Shaping machine (x) Welding set (xi) Drilling machine (xii) Lathe machine (xiii) Normalizing furnace (xiv) Furnace for hardening and tempering (xv) Threading machine (xvi) Shot blasting Machine. Page 2 of 4 2.1.2 for SGCI Fittings: (i) Induction Furnace(With Suitable Temperature Control Device) (ii) Magnesium Treatment Ladle (iii) Hand Shanks (Small ladles) (iv) Metallic Die (v) Patterns for sand casting (v)Drilling machine (vi) Lathe machine (v) Milling Machine (vi)Shaping machine 2.2 Manufacturer should have the facility for repair of the dies/patterns in use to get precise dimension. 2.3 Manufacturer should have adequate facility to test the raw materials as well as the finished product. 3.0 TESTING FACILITES: 3.1 (a) for forged steel fittingsi) Hardness Testing Machine ii) Electromagnetic crack detecting machine iii) Metallurgical Microscope and Micro polishing machine. iv) UTM machine v) Measuring instrument like veriner caliper, screw gauge: thread gauge etc. vi) Alco meter to measure the thickness of Galvanization. 3.2 (b) for SGCI fittingsi) Hardness Testing Machine ii) Spectrometer or Chemical laboratory for Chemical composition. iii) Metallurgical Microscope and Micro polishing machine. iv) UTM machine v) Measuring instrument like veriner caliper, screw gauge: thread gauge etc. vi) Alco meter to measure the thickness of Galvanization. Page 3 of 4 4.0 QUALITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS: 4.1 The firm should have acquired ISO:9000 certification for the product for which an approval is sought and the product should be broadly covered in the scope of the certification for manufacture and supply. 4.2 Quality manual of the firm for ISO: 9000 should clearly indicate at any stage the control over manufacturing and testing of the said product. 4.3 There exists system of easy traceability of the product from raw material stage to finished product stage. 4.4 Quality assurance plan for the product shall give full details for the following: i) Incoming materials. ii) Process of the product iii) Finished product. iv) Various parameters to be maintained to ensure control. v) Policy of disposal of rejected material be indicated and record is maintained for documentary evidence. The QAP shall be submitted to RDSO and got approved 4.5 Each section shall be headed by a qualified staff with experience in the relevant field. 4.6 There exists a quality manual of the firm indicating the extent of control over production, quality control and testing. 4.7 There exists a system of documentation in respect of rejection at customer end and Remedial action taken. 4.8 System should exist for documentation of the following. 4.8.1 Incoming raw material with TC reference of supplier as well as internal test/audit checking from outside agency wherever required. 4.8.2 Ensure that the details regarding stage inspection and test result are available. 4.8.3 Ensure that a system exists for calibration of testing & measuring equipment and record is maintained. 5.0 DRAWING OFFICE FACILITIES 5.1 The drawing office should be equipped preferably with AUTO CAD Software.
