Parent Teacher Conference
Parent/Teacher Conference will be Wednesday, February 11th. Meetings
with teachers will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please keep in mind
these are a quick meeting with the teachers and are scheduled to last only
10 minutes. Please contact your student’s teachers regarding scheduling
via e-mail.
Early Dismissal
There will be early dismissal on Wednesday, February 11th due to Parent/
Teacher Conference. Early dismissal will start at 12:45 p.m., please make
sure arrangements are made for your student to get picked up from school
on time.
Houston’s South National School Choice Pep Rally
HPS celebrates great schools, students, parents and teachers at Houston’s
South National School Choice Pep Rally.
Join us for special guest speakers, musical entertainment, refreshments, a
school fair and student performances!

Re-Enrollment 2015-2016 School Year
Re-enrollment for the 2015-2016 school year ends this Sunday, February
1st. Please be sure to return your re- enrollment form(s) either to the
front office by paper or through the student/parent portal no later than
February 1, 2015. Space is limited for the upcoming academic year, so seats
are only guaranteed to students whose re-enrollment forms are returned by
February 1, 2015. **Students will receive a free jeans pass upon returning
their re-enrollment form**

Parent Workshop about Special Education
Please be informed that Harmony Public Schools is collaborating with Partners Resource Network whose mission is
to empower and support parents of children and young adults with disabilities to be effective advocates for their children and promote positive parent/professional partnerships. As part of this partnership, you are invited to a free parent workshop about Special Education that would help you effectively access the services needed for your child.
La región sur de las escuelas Harmony en Houston va a realizar un entrenamiento para padres con el tema: La
transición a la edad adulta. Este entrenamiento está diseñado para todos los padres con hijos en educación especial.
El entrenamiento será el día Viernes 13 de Febrero a las 5:30 p.m. en la cafetería de la escuela Harmony School of
Innovation ( 9421 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. S. Houston, TX 77099).

family and friends and join us on this fun event!
Our parent breakfast series continues by inviting
parents of all 8A and 8B students to join us for
breakfast on Tuesday, February 3rd at 8:05 a.m.
in the school cafeteria. If you would like to

Box Tops
Parents, box top season is here! Box top collection starts January 20th and it ends March 13th. All students must submit their box tops to their Homeroom Teacher. The top 3 classes and the teachers will
receive a SURPRISE GIFT.
*Only students in the class that participate will receive the surprise gift.
Carnations
Carnation pre- sale has begun and it will end on Friday, January 30th. PTO will be hosting the pre-sale
after school until 3:45 p.m. outside of the lobby area. Each carnation will be sold for $2 (a card will be
included). Carnations will be delivered during school hours on Friday, February 13th.
Masquerade Spring Dance
Attention all middle school students and parents! PTO will be hosting a Masquerade Spring Dance on
Friday, February 13th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Central Office Multi-Purpose Room (1st Floor). Tickets
are now on sale after school outside the lobby area. Pre-Sale tickets are $6 and will be $8 at the door.
