Greetings parishioners and to our many visitors today and during the coming days! We are celebrating Mardi Gras in Galveston style before the rigors of Lent arrive this Ash Wednesday. I would like to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the almost 200 generous volunteers who have offered their help to pave the way for future parish and Archdiocesan success as we and all 150 parishes advance the Archdiocesan Capital Campaign. Together we will help prepare our faith family for the long-term future of advancing the mission of Jesus. The willingness of you volunteers, over the next few months, to make phone calls for receptions, to help with reception set-up and hospitality, to help with bulletin and invitation stuffing, and to serve on the Parish Campaign Committee will help the Archdiocesan Capital Campaign live up to its title: “Ignite: Our Faith. Our Mission”. The great spirit of volunteerism in our parish will contribute greatly to the Campaign’s focus on supporting our long term future by focusing on our parishes, our future priests, Catholic Education, and Faith Formation. May the Lord bless all our volunteers in this Archdiocesan/Parish Capital Campaign effort. Feel blessed to know that it is Jesus who leads us forward in advancing his mission. Peace to All! Fr. E.J.
