Solemnidad de Maria, Madre de Dios
Enero 1, 2017
Evangelio:
Mateo 2:1-12
Dios Prepara la Maternidad Divina
Dios planeó desde toda la
eternidad toda la obra
admirable de la Encarnación
del Verbo como culminación
de la creación del Universo;

72:1-2, 7-8, 10-13
Efesios 3:2-3a, 5-6
“María, por su parte, guardaba todas estas
cosas, y las meditaba en su corazón”
Lucas 2,19
Oremos con los Santos
“María es dichosa también
porque escuchó la palabra
de Dios y la cumplió; llevó
en su seno el cuerpo de
Cristo, pero más aún
guardó en su mente la
verdad de Cristo”.
San Agustin

First Friday Eucharistic Adoration
St. Maximilian Kolbe said: “God dwells in our midst, in
the Blessed Sacrament of the altar.” Come to First
Friday Eucharistic Adoration and allow the
Real Presence of Our Blessed Lord to jump
start your spiritual life! Every month the
Legion of Mary requests at least TWO
adorers each hour. We are especially in need
of adorers during the late night and early morning
hours. For community prayer come at 4:00PM for a
Family Holy Hour for Life or join Esperanza Latina at
3:00AM. All other hours are for quiet prayer. Please
consider helping this important parish effort by signing
up ahead of time for an hour of prayer with the
Eucharistic Presence of Jesus. The sign up board will be
in the Gathering Space of the Main Church during
weekend Masses and in the Little Church during the
week. Contact Irene Walsh via email or 410-935-6718
with any questions.
We should thank God for opening yet another
new page of our lives. Hope to live each moment
to the fullest.

Daily Mass and Snow Policy
Now that we are in the winter months, let us reiterate
our snow policy with regard to daily Mass. If Baltimore
County Schools are closed due to weather, then daily
Masses are canceled. If Baltimore County Schools are
one or two hours late, then the 7:00 AM Mass is
canceled, the 9:00 AM Mass will be celebrated as usual.
This will allow our maintenance crew time to clear the
parking lots and sidewalks. In any event, use your best
judgment. God would rather you be safe than come to
daily Mass in bad weather
Sunday Nursery
A free nursery service (child care) is available on most

STAND Training
All volunteers (ages 18 or older) for the school and

will
need
to
complete the
STAND process before beginning
their volunteer service. This process
is now online through Shield the
Vulnerable – a compliance
management system that will allow all parishes and
schools to facilitate compliance with archdiocesan child
protection requirements for all volunteers who work
with minors, employees, and clergy. Step-by-step
instructions are available on the parish website
at: http://www.shgparish.org/stand.aspx. Many have
asked how long it takes to be STAND approved. There
is a minimum processing time of 3-4 weeks for all new
volunteers and 2-3 weeks for volunteers seeking
renewal. After completing this process and/or should
you have any questions, please contact Mary Lee
McCusker at [email protected] or 410-8336877.
