RITA CATHOLIC CHURCH, DADE CITY, FLORIDA Faith Formation May 15, 2016 Formación de la fe Page 3 www.stritaparish.org May 15, 2016 Pentecost Sunday May 15, 2016 Today is the Birthday of the Church. This can be said because the believer's were no longer solely followers. From now on following Christ meant you were not just a ‘spectator’ but rather a ‘participant’. The Holy Spirit was given and received on Pentecost and people believed that Jesus was at the right hand of the Father (Ascension) in Heaven and love, peace and joy were all around and enlivening the community of believers; Jesus’ followers were now emboldened to “Go Forth” and not only believe the Gospel but to Preach it. Today we were blessed to have with us a seminarian from the St. Petersburg Diocese who represented the seminary training program and Vocation Office of the diocese . Thank you, Mr. Dan Angel. —————————————–—————— PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS IN THE CHURCH Del Escritorio Del Párroco Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Faith in the Americas, continue to lead us all to your Son, especially through raising up vocations in the Church. Encourage those who are called; strengthen those in formation; and inspire joy and holy perseverance in all brothers, priests, and sisters Through the witness of their vocations, may the faith continue to spread in our land. We ask this for our good and for the glory of your Son, Jesus, Our Lord.
