Dear parents,
Find below a summary of the topics which we will study this month.
UNIT 3: At the zoo
• Animals: crocodile, lion, snake, monkey, penguin, elephant, lizard,
giraffe, hippo and tiger.
• Parts of an animal: body, teeth, face, wings, tail and beak.
• Grammar:
Describe the wild animals using “have” and “don´t have” (It´s
got…/It hasn´t got…/They´ve got…/They haven´t got…)
It´s got four legs
It hasn´t got a tail
They´ve got long hair
They haven´t got wings
Questions and answers about the parts of an animal (Has it
got…/Have they got…?)

At home you can help your children learn the vocabulary by working on
some/all of these activities:
• Ask them about their favourite animal and ask questions about which
parts of the body this animal has and doesn´t have. If you want to make
it more difficult, ask them to describe the animal (Ex. It´s got four legs
and big ears. It´s brown).
• Show them some pictures of wild animals from the Internet and ask
them few questions about the body parts that they have.

En casa podéis ayudar a vuestro hijo/a a aprenderse el vocabulario a través
del trabajo de estas actividades:
• Preguntarles sobre su animal favorito y hacerles preguntas sobre las
partes del cuerpo que ese animal tiene y no tiene. Si quisierais hacerlo
más complicado pedirles que describan al animal (Ej. Tiene cuantro patas
y orejas grandes. Es marrón).
• Enseñarles imágenes de animales salvajes y preguntarles sobre las
partes del cuerpo que ese animal tiene o no tiene.
