Estudiante: YORLEY CAROLINA OLACHICA ARIZA Asesor: Diana Carolina Urbina JóvenES EN LA ZONA DE TOLERANCIA- UNA APROXIMACIÓN A LA INICIATIVA LABORAL EN EL SANTA FE Resumen Este artículo es producto de mi investigación académica y del conocimiento obtenido al desempeñarme cerca de allí, pues al caminar por la “zona de tolerancia” del Barrio Santa Fe de la ciudad de Bogotá, me inquieté por conocer como es la forma en que los jóvenes que habitan esta zona subsisten económicamente. Hice un acercamiento a la historia de Andrés, Raúl y José, a través de ellos conocí que se fusionan ideales, destrezas y oportunidades para dar inicio a la actividad laboral de manera formal o no formal y como estas experiencias se convierten en aspectos resilientes para cada uno de ellos y sus familias. “JóvenES en la zona de tolerancia, una aproximación a la iniciativa laboral en el barrio Santa Fe” muestra como la desigualdad social, los ha llevado a tomar el camino de la ilegalidad, ya que a sus 18 años de edad y tras múltiples intentos de emplearsen, las oportunidades no han sido las más incluyentes y han encontrado en lo ilegal la forma de sostenerse a sí mismos. Aunque los jóvenes conozcan los riesgos en los que están inmersos, no se detienen, pues al finalizar la investigación Andrés y Raúl ya estaban privados de la libertad por acciones ilegales que han cometido y de las cuales no hay certeza que desistan. Abstract This article is the result of my academic research taken place in the "Tolerance Zone" in the suburb Santa Fe in Bogota, where I got interested in learning how the young people in this are live and what do they do to earn a living. I did an approach to this subject studying the life of Andres, Raul and Jose, and through them I learnt that; There is a fusion of ideals, skills and opportunities that initiate formal and informal work related activities and that this experiences become resilient aspects for each individual and their families.“JovenES in the Tolerance Zone, A work initiative approach in the suburb Santa Fe” Shows how social inequality has driven young people to carry out illegal activities to support themselves now that at the age of 18 years old and after many attempts to find work; The opportunities have not been the most welcoming therefore they find in the illegal world a way to make a living. Even though this young people know the risks involved with these activities, they don’t stop, hence at the end of my research Andres and Raul got taken their freedom away due to their illegal actions in the past, die to this it is uncertain if they will cease their involvement in the illegal world as they have been involved in this for a while.
