Thank You for your generosity to
St. Agnes Parish!
Greetings from the Day Room:
Gratitude to all who are helping to provide
Thanksgiving Food for families in need in our
community! Your gifts of wholesome, nourish‐
ing food to be prepared in the homes of our
neighbors who are less fortunate is a blessing for
those who will enjoy it and be nourished and a
blessing for those who offer the food to share.
We thank God that you have eyes to see and ears
to hear others in need and we are certain that it
is Christ, Himself who receives your gift and He
who blesses you.
May we never fail to respond to an opportunity
to lessen the burdens of another, lest we walk
past Christ the King in His hour of need. May
gratitude abound for all of God’s mercy and love
at every moment of every day!

8th Grade Trip to
Independence Seaport Museum & Sailing
Thank for vo ng to

2nd year in a row!

offer school tours every Tuesday morning at 10am. Call the
school office (610) 696-3398 to schedule your appointment
to find out what makes us the most loved today! Spots filled
up quickly this school year and we ended up with a wai ng
list.
On October 9th the 8th grade students of Saint Agnes School
enjoyed a day on the Delaware River courtesy of the Connelly
Founda on. The students toured the Independence Seaport
Museum & two historic ships, the Submarine Becuna and the
Cruiser Olympia. However, the highlight of the day was when
they sailed on the Delaware River aboard the schooner Mys c
Whaler. While aboard the Mys c Whaler the class helped the
crew to raise the sails, were given a tour of the ship and learned
about life on the water.
Dominic Savio Prayer Group
The trip was a memorable experience for everyone. The students were surprised at the ght living quarters on the submarine, and couldn’t believe the size of the Olympia, the flagship of
the Spanish-American War.
When asked about the experience the 8th graders had nothing
but posi ve comments. Some of these included:
•
“The overall experience was amazing, and the trip was absolutely unforge able.” - Robbie
•
“I learned so much and it was so interes ng.” - Madi
•
“I am really happy that I got to go sailing for the first me
with my whole class.” - Karen
•
“Raising the sails and riding on the Delaware was awesome.”
-Peter
•
“I really want to bring my family to the Seaport Museum. I
think they would love it as much as I did.” - Natalie
Saint Agnes has a new club after school open to all
third, fourth and fifth graders. The club, named The
Saint Dominic Savio Prayer Group, is led by Mrs.
Pease, Mrs. Dunn, and Mrs. Vrabel. Presently there
are 7 members. They go to Adoration, sing songs, and
do fun religious crafts, as well as other activities. At
their last meeting they made a paper chain Mission
Rosary which they hung in the vestibule of the Chapel.
It is there to remind us to pray for our brothers and sisters in other countries. They are circling the world with
prayer!
Our mission at Saint Agnes Catholic School is to develop every student spiritually, intellectually, physically, emo onally and socially in a joyful,
faith-based environment that inspires integrity, ci zenship, leadership and service to others in the Church and in the world.

GREAT REASONS to Patronize the
Merchants in Our Church Bulletin!
1. They support the work of our church.
2. It keeps money in our community. For every $100 spent at a
locally owned business, $68 goes back into the community
and your tax base. For every $100 spent at a chain store,
only $43 comes back. Online purchases bring nothing
back to our local community.
3. Keeps our community unique. Where we shop, where
we eat and have fun—all of it makes our community
home. Our one-of-a-kind businesses are an integral part
of the distinctive character of our community.
4. Creates more good jobs. Small local
businesses are the largest employer
nationally and in our community.
5. Get better service. Local businesses
often hire people with a better
understanding of the products
they are selling and take more time
to get to know customers.
