Cal/OSHA Updates and Preparing for a Visit
This class is intended for all audiences and provides updates on the
latest worksite safety regulations. Hear from a Cal/OSHA guest speaker
about safety and compliance topics affecting your business. Learn what
safety and health hazards compliance officers look for when visiting
your operation.
Machine Guarding in Ag
This class is intended for all employees. Learn the importance and
proper procedures for safe machine guarding of equipment hazards
to control or eliminate hazards. Topics include: general requirements,
training, and responsibilities. Attendees will leave with an outline to
develop lockout/tagout procedures for their operations.
How to Avoid Litigation and What to Expect if it Happens
A 2014 study by the CWCI shows that 1 of every 9 California Workers’
Comp claims involves an attorney. We’ll discuss what leads to litigation,
what employers can do to avoid it, and what to do if it does happen.
Heat Illness Prevention Strategies
Learn how to develop an employee heat illness prevention program.
Topics include: risk factors, elements of a prevention program, and
signs and symptoms of heat illness.
Multi-Generational Issues in Safety
This class is intended for supervisory and management personnel.
Learn how different values, beliefs and traditions play an important
role in workplace safety. Hear ideas on communicating safety despite
cultural and generational gaps and tips on incorporating safety training
with a multicultural workforce.
ATV Safety (Eng and Span)
This class is intended for employees and supervisors and management
personnel. Learn important safety tips to consider while operating allterrain vehicles (ATV’s). Topics include: safe operating procedures and
elements of an adequate ATV training program.
Conducting Effective Incident Investigations (Eng and Span)
This class is intended for those who want to learn how to complete
incident investigations and or for those wanting to add to these
skills. You will learn how to ask the right question, document efforts,
identify contributing factors, and implement changes to lessen the reoccurrence of workplace incidents.
Coaching for Safety
This class is intended for supervisory and management personnel.
Learn how coaching applies to your safety leadership role with an
emphasis on people and performance management. Topics include:
setting expectations, observing, coaching and evaluating success as
well as motivating employees to perform safely.
Forklift Safety (Eng)
This class is intended for personnel who will be training employees on
how to operate forklifts safely. Topics include: forklift fundamentals,
operating rules, best practices for on-site certification, practical ideas
and training techniques.
Night Work
This class is intended supervisory and management personnel. Learn
about the risks of Night Work and making work at night safer for
your employees. Topics include: communication procedures, lighting
equipment, PPE use, and safe work practices.

strain and sprain injuries occur. Topics include: risk factors, steps to
minimize these types of injuries, and the anatomy of the back.
