A few weeks ago, we had a write up on Fr. Bao, Fr. Agustin
and today Fr. Wayne. In the next few weeks, we will have
write ups on Deacon Martin Ruiz, Deacon Dong Ngo and Sister Francesca Tuoi Tran, who are assigned to St. Cecilia.
Fr. Wayne Adajar is from the province of
Batangas in the Philippines. He entered St.
Francis de Sales Minor Seminary in Lipa City,
Philippines in 1986; obtained his bachelor's
degree in philosophy at St. Francis de Sales
College Seminary, Lipa City; studied Theology
and earned his Master's degree in Pastoral
Ministry at the Loyola School of Theology in

Lipa on June 22, 1998. He joined the Diocese of Orange in
2007. He served as Parochial Vicar at Holy Spirit Church in
Fountain Valley from 2007 to 2010, then at St. Kilian's in Mission Viejo from 2010 to 2014, and now at St. Cecilia in Tustin.
He loves basketball and adobo.

The Mission Co-Op

Horacio SDB, from the Salesian Mission, speaking at
all the Masses.
The Salesian Missions is a U.S. based, nonprofit
Catholic organization, raising funds for international
programs that serve youth and families in poor communities around the globe.
We will have a second collection next week, therefore please take the Salesian Mission envelope in the
pews and bring it back next week.

Join us for our Third Tuesday Backyard BBQ. Our
speaker will be Fr. Paul Vu from St. Kilian Church
in Mission Viejo.
The Church will supply hamburgers and hot dogs
and the community will provide potluck side
dishes (salads, desserts, etc). We also supply simple beverages (lemonade, coffee, & water) or feel
free to bring your beverage of choice.
The Serra Club City of Orange
On Tuesday, July 21, Linda Chaix will be the guest speaker at
The Serra Club City of Orange. She will share how to keep
spiritually in your life while traveling on vacation.
The Serra Club gets its name from Blessed Juniper Serra, the
18th century Spanish Franciscan. The mission of Serra is to
foster and affirm vocations to the priesthood and vowed religious life. There are over 318 clubs in the USA and Orange
County has 3 active clubs.
St. Cecilia Catholic School, in the Diocese of Orange,

Book Club

“My Sister the Saints” by Colleen Carroll Campbell. A poignant and powerful
spiritual memoir about how the lives of the saints
changed the life of a modern woman.
The book club will meet in Modular 1 from 7-8:30
pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month.
Our Blue Ribbon parish school is accepting application for the upcoming school year. We do
have several classes with a waiting list.

Mission News
Bereavement Volunteers
We have heard from several St. Cecilia Missionaries for
Mission News. The first one is a message about Sister
Elena C.S.J., who once taught at St. Cecilia School. Sr.
Ellen McNerney at the Motherhouse in Orange, keeps us
informed of Sr. Elena’s work in El Salvador, Central
America. She writes: “With great gratitude, Sister Elena
and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange thank you for the
most generous support of Romero Center.
St. Cecilia needs a volunteer to
head the Bereavement Committee. Requirements: LOVING,
CARING, AND A FLEXILBE SCHEDULE. An
active committee already exists for support and
training. Let the Holy Spirit open your heart to this
wonderful opportunity to serve God, this parish, and
those who are grieving.

Quý ông bà và anh chị em thân mến,
Trong vài tuần qua, chúng tôi đã trình bày vài nét tiểu sử của Cha Quản Xứ Bảo, Cha phó Augustin, và hôm nay Cha phó Wayne. Những tuần kế tiếp, chúng tôi sẽ viết một vài nét tiểu sử
của Thầy Sáu Martin Ruiz, Thầy Sáu Ngô Đông và Sơ Francesca Tươi Trần, là những vị đã
đảm nhận sứ vụ tại Giáo Xứ Thánh Cecilia.
Cha Wayne Adajar đến từ tỉnh Batangas, Philippines. Năm 1986, ngài vào
Tiểu chủng viện Thánh Francis de Sales ở thành phố Lipa nước Philippines;
được bằng cử nhân triết học tại St. Francis de Sales College Seminary ở Lipa
City; nghiên cứu thần học và lấy bằng Thạc sĩ về Mục vụ tại trường Loyola

Hội Canh Tân Đặc Sủng vẫn có buổi cầu nguyện và chia sẻ Kinh Thánh hằng tuần vào lúc 5:00 giờ chiều

Đoàn Thiếu Nhi Thánh Thể xin nhận ống lon, chai bia,
nuớc ngọt vào các Thánh Lễ chiều thứ Bẩy để gây quỹ
sinh hoạt cho Đoàn. Chúng con sẽ có xe truck đậu ở bãi
đậu xe gần tháp chuông Nhà Thờ. Vì phương tiện vận
chuyển có giới hạn, cho nên chúng con không lấy bình
sữa, chai nuớc mắm và các chai ruợu lớn. Xin chân thành
cám ơn.
Để buổi lễ được giữ phần trang nghiêm, xin các bậc phụ
huynh vui lòng để ý và gìn giữ các con em nhỏ của mình
và cũng xin quý phụ huynh nhắc nhở các em nhỏ đừng
chạy nhảy hoặc la hét lớn tiếng trong giờ phụng vụ. Xin
vui lòng tắt hoặc chuyển điện thoại cầm tay sang hệ thống
