Training
The training for new
Eucharistic Ministers will be
offered on Saturday, October
3, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McGann
Mercy High School, Riverhead.
We are in need of more
ministers for this very important
ministry of serving Eucharist to
our many parishioners.
Those who wish to minister in
hospitals, nursing homes and to
homebound persons are also required to attend a
second session on Saturday, November 7, 9 a.m. to 1
p.m. at McGann Mercy High School, Riverhead.
If you are interested, please send a letter of
introduction to Father Ed regarding this holy ministry. If
you wish to be a homebound Eucharistic Minister,
please note this desire in your letter.

The Parish Center will be closed this Monday,
September 7, in recognition of Labor Day. The Priests
and staff of St. Rosalie’s wish all a safe and enjoyable

The Catholic University of America is the national
university of the Catholic Church in the United States,
located in Washington, D.C. It provides an

Beginning Sunday, September 13, we will return to
our regular Mass schedule on Sundays at St. Rosalie’s in
Hampton Bays: Saturday at 5 p.m.; Sunday 8 a.m.,
9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Weekday Mass will be at 8 a.m.
and 12 noon, Monday-Friday. At St. Rosalie’s in East
Quogue beginning September 13, only one Sunday
Mass will be at 9 a.m. This schedule will continue
through the end of the year.

LA COMUNIDAD HISPANA

Sacramentos para Adultos - Las clases para adultos que no
han recibido los sacramentos de Confirmación o Comunión o
aún no son Bautizados, son los jueves, a las 7 PM en la
escuelita en East Hampton o los domingos, a las 10 de la
mañana en el Apostolado Hispano en Southampton. Estas
clases son para jóvenes y adultos de 18 o más años. La clase en
East Hampton comienza el 10 de septiembre y en Southampton

El Catecismo Para Niños - La inscripción para el catecismo
(Primera Comunión y Confirmación) ya comenzó. Puede
inscribir a sus hijos los domingos, después de la Misa en el

Presencia y misión de Cristo - La presencia misma de Cristo
en el evangelio de hoy. Precisamente el evangelio de San
Marcos tiene esto de típico: a él le interesa decir que es la
persona de Cristo que encarna el reino de Dios presente en la
tierra. Es hermoso pensar que el evangelio de San Marcos, que
se lee en este año nos está diciendo que lo que Isaías anunciaba
en su profecía ya es verdad en Cristo. Y todo aquél que cree en
Cristo ya está redimido, ya no tiene necesidad de la cobardía,
del temor. Es tiempo de que los cristianos fortalezcamos
nuestro ánimo y no seamos cobardes, no nos dejemos deprimir
por las circunstancias, sino, al contrario, apoyar en el Señor presente ya en la historia- nuestra debilidad, nuestra
desorientación. Como cieguitos, como sordos, agarrémonos de
la mano de Jesús. Él nos va llevando a la victoria, vendrá la luz
de nuestros ojos, vendrá la claridad de nuestra historia propia
salvadoreña. Sólo Él nos puede dar la verdadera independencia.

Celebration

honored at liturgies on Sunday, October 4, at the Church of St. Rose of
Lima in Massapequa and on Sunday,
November 8, at the Church of Christ
the King in Commack. Both liturgies
will begin at 2:30 p.m. Couples may

the Hamptons. The all-new revitalized Pre-school program at OLH is
an important step in the over-all

Center in Hampton Bays is now with
space available on the three year
old program, and waiting list on the
four year old class. A fully licensed
program for three and four year
olds in preparation for elementary

Catholic High School Entrance Exam Prep Course
Molloy College’s Continuing Education
Program is offering a Catholic High
School Entrance Exam prep course for
eighth graders planning to attend any of
the ten Catholic high schools on Long Island. Students will review the math,
reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar skills that will be tested on the exam,
and will learn test-taking strategies to
help them work faster and more confidently to maximize their scores.
Classes begin September 12 at the
Rockville Centre campus and September
13 at the Suffolk Center in East Farmingdale, and will be completed in time for
