OFFICE OF THE BISHOP - DIOCESE OF PALM BEACH
9995 North Military Trail • P.O. Box 109650
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410-9650
September 4, 2015
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me” (Mt. 25:40).
These words of Jesus Christ from the Gospel of Matthew serve as a challenge to all those who call themselves
brothers and sisters of Christ.
Our Catholic social teaching and tradition encourages and leads us to protect the vulnerable, the
disenfranchised and the persecuted. Through our spiritual, pastoral and material care we seek to love the Christ
in each person we meet. Next weekend the Diocese of Palm Beach will have a special collection to benefit
two important pastoral and social works of the Church: the Respect Life Ministry and the Migrant Ministry.
We believe that each and every person has a God given right to be treated with respect and dignity,
from conception to natural death. Through prayer, education, and pastoral programs, our diocesan
ministries, and especially those of Catholic Charities, seek to protect the sanctity of all: the unborn, the poor, the
unemployed, the migrant, the marginalized, the sick, and those in prisons.
As witnesses to the Gospel of Life, we strive to answer God’s call to preach the truth with love at all times.
Our loving response to and care of our brothers and sisters is a reflection of our faith in God, who is love. The
kingdom for which we strive beckons us as ultimately we yearn to hear the words of the Father, “Come, you
who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world” (Mt.
25:34).
With gratitude for your continued generosity and every prayerful wish, I am
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito
Bishop of Palm Beach

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
HELPFUL HINTS
Your pledges are rolling in! If you have not made your pledge
yet, please do! Due to the many different methods of
payments, there are a few things that you can do that will help
us keep things running smoothly:
•
•
•
When using your own bank’s “Bill Pay” option, please
indicate in memo section “PLEDGE” and/or change the
Payee name to “St. Ignatius Family Life Center”.
Please do not combine your Campaign Pledge with your
weekly offertory. Separate checks are necessary; please
use your check “memo” to designate your intent.
When you receive your reminder letter, we will have
included a special “PLEDGE PAYMENT” envelope
which you are welcome to drop in the weekend collection
basket, or mail back to our office. Please do not use your
weekly offertory envelopes for your pledge payments.
This helps assure the posting process is accurate. Please do
not use the larger initial pledge envelopes. There are white
and gold “PLEDGE PAYMENT” envelopes available in
the pews and at the back of the church for your
convenience. Please call Barbara 561-622-2565 if you
have any questions regarding campaign.

OFICINA PARROQUIAL - 561-622-2565
27 de septiembre - 26º Domingo del Tiempo
Ordinario
Marcos 9, 38-43. 45. 47-48
Nos encontramos ya en el Domingo 26º del
TO.
