The focus of today’s feast is the total self-giving of Jesus. The bishops’ stewardship pastoral reminds us that “the glory and the boast of Christian stewards lie in mirroring, however poorly, the stewardship of Jesus Christ, who gave and still gives all. He has and is, in order to be faithful to God’s will and carry through to completion His redemptive stewardship of human beings and their world.” Mass Intentions for the Week Saturday - June 6 7:15AM 5:15PM Vincente Alandydy+ Joseph “Tommy” Milano Louis Asborno+ Emilio & Beatriz Simon+ Sunday - June 7 7:30AM St. Michael in Thanksgiving 10:30AM Mass for the People (Missa Pro Populi) 2:00PM Flora Giannecchini+ Monday - June 8 7:15AM Monday Cor 1:1-7; Ps 34:2-9; Mt 5:1-12 Tuesday Cor1:18-22; Ps 119:129-133,135; Mt 5:13-16 Wednesday Cor 3:4-11; Ps 99:5-9; Mt 5:17-19 Thursday Acts 11:21b-26;13:1-3 Ps 98:1-6 Mt 5:20-26 Friday Hos 11:1,3-4,8c-9 (Ps)Is 12:2-6; Eph 3:8-12,14-19 Jn 19:31-37 Saturday Cor 5:14-21 Ps 103:1-4,9-12 Mt 5:33-37 Sunday Ez 17:22-24 Ps 92:2-3,13-16; 2Cor 5:6-10 Mk 4:26-34 Christina Marie Aguada+ Lorraine Ridenour+ Tuesday - June 9 7:15AM Elmo Biglieri+ Milagros Pingol+ Sr. Vincenta Baer+ Wednesday –June 10 7:15PM Maria Parente+ Francisco Trovao+ Guilherme Martins+ Cheryl Aschenbrener Middlekauff+ Thursday - June 11 7:15AM Dennis Green+ Milagros Pingol+ Sr. Vincenta Baer+ Friday - June 12 7:15AM Frank Vito Spingolo+ Milagros Pingol+ Sr. Vicenta Baer+ Saturday - June 13 7:15AM Jose Galvez+ 5:15PM Readings for the Week Louis D. Bishop’s Awards Some food for thought: Some thought on the celebration of the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Cristi). One way of celebrating this Feast of Corpus Christi, besides coming to church and receiving this precious gift of His Body and Blood, is to have appropriate and modest dress every time we come to church services: Avoid wearing flip flops, bare midriffs, shorts and spaghetti or strapless tops. Make our summer celebrations always pleasing to the eyes of God and to the community. This June 12, 2015, Friday, is the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There will be mass at 7:15 am and also at 6:00 PM. All are invited to come and participate.
