No habían
mandamientos. “Obras son amores y no buenas razones”;
amor a Dios!

COMMUNITY NEWS
FRIENDS OF THE RESURRECTION GET-TOGETHER
SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 2015 FROM 9 -11 AM AT
ST. SCHOLASTICA'S CHURCH, WOODRIDGE, IL
If you are looking for more hope in your life and are impressed by the Resurrectionist who has
been ministering in your parish, then, come to the next Friends of the Resurrection
Get-Together on Saturday, April 25 from 9 -11 am at St. Scholastica's Church.
Friends of the Resurrection is an informal group of parishioners from parishes staffed by the
Congregation of the Resurrection in the Joliet Diocese. We pray together in the context of
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for blessings on the ministry of Resurrectionists
throughout the world and listen to a great speaker.
Our speaker for this next session is the dynamic Rev. Paul Sims, C.R., Ph.D, professor of
education at Concordia University. Father Paul's talk is entitled “Conversion, a Resurrecting
Experience.” He will share with us how the experience of conversion inspired three young men to found the
Congregation of the Resurrection.
After the talk and Benediction, please join us at the parish for a light lunch. There is no cost for this event and there is
nothing to commit to – yet. Our hope is that eventually we will form an association of Friends of the Resurrection in the
Joliet Diocese.
Everyone is welcome including children and young adults. No reservations necessary. Please come!
St. Scholastica's Church is located at 7800 Janes Ave., Woodridge, Il (On Janes, a few blocks South of 75th Street.).
The following parishes in the Joliet Diocese are served by the Congregation of the Resurrection:
St. Pius X (Lombard); Holy Trinity (Westmont); St. Mark (Wheaton); Immaculate Conception (Morris); and
St. Scholastica (Woodridge).
The St. Pius X bulletins are paid for by these advertisers; please thank them by supporting their businesses.
