Please pray for the
recently deceased:
Alice Mc Clary,
Mary Margaret Doyle
Dear Friends of Holy Spirit,
This is already the Fourth Sunday of Lent!! Where is the
time going! I encourage all of us to stay with our Lenten
promises as we move toward Easter.
Second Collection Today!
Our second collection today is for
Catholic Relief Services. This collection funds six Catholic agencies that
work to serve our suffering brothers
and sisters around the world.
Through humanitarian aid, resettling
displaced individuals & families, and providing legal &
advocacy services for migrants, the Catholic Relief
Services Collection allows us to see every encounter
with a person who is suffering as an opportunity to help
Jesus in disguise.
**Please remember, that any second collection that
we have goes into the green baskets. Thank you in
advance for your help.
Don’t Forget that today we
are having a Blood Drive
from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm
in the school gym.
Walk-ins are always welcome! Save a life,

This past Wednesday, we had our parish Penance Service and I want to thank the priests who helped us. This
coming Wednesday (March 18th), Fr. Juan and I will once
again be hearing confessions in the chapel from 6:30 to
8:00 PM as part of the archdiocesan program, “Leave the
Light On.” If you have not been able to receive the sacrament recently, I would really encourage you to come on
Wednesday. Also, this program is being held in all the parishes, so you could go to any parish on Wednesday night
and receive the sacrament. Take a few minutes and prepare your hearts for Easter!
We have two Eagle Scout projects coming up that will
provide a permanent shelter for the Rose Garden. Each
year we will have two or three Eagle Scout candidates
step forward, asking about a possible project here at Holy
Spirit. Last year, three scouts provided parking at the rectory, the walkway for the Marian Shrine and the Shrine
Stations of the Cross. This year, one scout, John Brokaw,
will do all the work in providing a foundation and slab for
the shelter, while Mitch Struewing will provide the support post and roof. This will be used during the festival
for the band, the dancers, and will provide a shelter for
other activities throughout the year. Thank you to these
two young men and their families.
We are also looking into the construction of a fence
around our grassy playground area. This would be very
useful for our Little Ramsies Daycare by providing a protected, external playground area. It would also be helpful
in numerous other ways to the parish and the school.
R.C.I.A. is moving toward its completion with entrance
into the Catholic Church at Easter. We are anticipating
about 34 being baptized and/or confirmed on Holy Saturday night. The following Saturday we will bring about 25
children into the church who are under the age of nine.
Please keep all these individuals in prayer as they make
this faith commitment to Christ and the Church.
God’s Blessings and Love,

God of mercy, give Your strength to
(name), who is bound by the chains of
addiction. Enfold him in your love and
restore him to sobriety. Lord, look with compassion on all
those who have lost their health and freedom to alcohol and
drugs. Restore to them the assurance of Your unfailing
mercy, and strengthen them in the work of recovery. To those
who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love
that preserves. Amen
Please take a few minutes to collect your dishes from
recent Mercy Meals! We truly appreciate your kindness in
making food for recent Mercy Meals, the families of the
deceased appreciate the delicious, homemade food. We now
have quite a large collection of bowls and casserole dishes

mismo aspecto: «...Cuando oréis, no seáis
las plazas, para ser vistos de los hombres;
a vosotros.

favor no traigas chiquitos.
