Cornerstone Bible Church is a ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ to the greater Atlanta area.
Our mission as part of the universal body of Christ is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus
Christ at home and abroad. We do this as a local assembly by equipping members to find undiscipled people, to fold them into God’s flock, to feed them to maturity, and to forward them into
the mission.

Missions Conference
Please mark your calendars and plan to
attend CBC's 2015 World Missions Conference
on the weekend of February 20-22. Our keynote speaker this year is Alan Goddard with
CRU. If you are looking for a place to serve,
perhaps you would like one of these opportunities: Nursery, Event set-up, Event coordinators. See page three of this bulletin for the Conference schedule. Contact: Jim Sawtelle— 678778-6851 or [email protected]
Tenebrae Service
Our annual Tenebrae: a Service of Darkening will be held Good Friday evening, April 3, at
7 PM. Rehearsals are underway at 4:15 for hand bell ringers and 5:30 for the choir, in the choir
room. For those of you not familiar with this service, it is very dark and poignant as we are
reminded of the events leading up to the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The
service includes communion and the final events of Good Friday as recorded in Scripture. This
year we will be reprising "Night of Remembrance", an original script written by Karen Hutto
originally presented here in 2005. The format uses an Old and New Testament reader, with
Scriptures detailing prophecy and fulfillment. Also, there are "first person" accounts of the
time from individuals such as Peter, Mary, Judas, etc. We urge you to invite friends and family
to come and hear this marvelous story of our Lord's suffering and death on the cross for the
salvation of the world.
If you have questions about your participation, please contact Sandra Clements at [email protected]. Soli Deo Gloria!

Chorus:
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light

still You’re there right beside me.
Nothing will I fear as long as You are near.

Keeping up with Doug & Cheryl
Doug and Cheryl's daughter Carissa has created a CaringBridge account for them where
you may find journal entries about Doug's medical progress and treatments. There is also a way
to make comments, or a tribute to Doug, as well. To quote CaringBridge: "CaringBridge is all
about connecting people on a health journey to family and friends who care about them: http://

God's love…
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
were the whole sky of parchment made;
were every stalk on earth a quill
and every man a scribe by trade;
to write the love of God above
would drain the ocean dry;
nor could the scroll contain the whole,
though stretch’d from sky to sky.
—Meir Ben Isaac Nehorai (adapted modern
version)
Almighty Father, Strong to Save
Almighty Father, strong to save, Whose arm
hath bound the restless wave, Who bidd’st the
mighty ocean deep Its own appointed limits
keep: O hear us when we cry to Thee For
those in peril on the sea.
2. O Christ, the Lord of hill and plain O’er
which our traffic runs amain By mountain
pass or valley low; Wherever, Lord, thy brethren go, Protect them by Thy guarding hand
From every peril on the land.
3. O Spirit, whom the Father sent To spread
abroad the firmament; O Wind of heaven, by
Thy might Save all who dare the eagle’s flight,
And keep them by Thy watchful care From
every peril in the air.
4. O Trinity of love and power, Our brethren
shield in danger’s hour; From rock and tempest, fire and foe, Protect them wheresoe’er
they go; Thus evermore shall rise to Thee
Glad praise from air and land and sea.
Lead Me to Calvary
King of my life I crown Thee now, Thine shall
the glory be; Lest I forget Thy thorn-crowned
brow, Lead me to Calvary.
Refrain:
Lest I forget Gethsemene; Lest I forget Thine
agony; lest I forget Thy love for me, lead me
to Calvary.
2. Show me the tomb where Thou wast laid,
Tenderly mourned and wept; Angels in robes
of light arrayed Guarded Thee whilst Thou
slept.
3. Let me like Mary, through the gloom, Come
with a gift to Thee; Show to me now the
empty tomb, Lead me to Calvary.
After Communion
4. May I be willing, Lord, to bear Daily my
cross for Thee! Even Thy cup of grief to share,
Thou hast borne all for me.
Hallelujah, What a Savior!
“Man of Sorrows!” what a name For the Son
of God, who came Ruined sinners to reclaim!
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
2. Bearing shame and scoffing rude, In my
place condemned He stood— Sealed my pardon with His blood: Hallelujah, what a Savior!

= Please pray for Grant Gossling's blood
counts to be strong and for excellent results
from his next scan in early March. Thank God
for the time of family togetherness for them
right now!
Please remember the following special missions requests taken from our
monthly prayer guide. Numbers refer to
days of the month.
8. Please pray for Cheryl McIntosh and
the Bibleless People Project. Pray that the
last languages of the world would receive the
Scriptures in whatever form they need it —
written or oral. Dare to ask God for big things!
Ask Him to provide every person in the world
with His Word ”just as He has already provided
it for us” written and in the heart language!
Pray that the integrity of God’s Word would be
maintained as it is translated. Pray for quality
translations that speak meaningfully to the
hearts of Bibleless people.
9. Pray for Mission India. Pray for founder
John DeVries who suffered a TIA a little over
a week ago. Pray for his healing and that he
would not have another one. “In India, many
Adult Literacy Class students are halfway
through their year of classes. Father, we pray
that these men and women will stay motivated
to finish the year and that their hearts are
opened to the Gospel through the Bible-based
lessons,” from the India Intercessor.
10. Pray for Barbara Goodgame and
PCLC. She has moved out of the classroom
and into supervising the instructors. Our new
Parkview CLC instructor's name is Brian Burchik. Brian is both teaching the 2 CLC classes
at Cornerstone and the writing #Live Fully
curriculum/class that the students are taking.
Pray for Brian to quickly make good relationships with the students and be able to help
guide them in their knowledge of Jesus and
salvation/sanctification. Pray for God to send
more students to our classes.
11. Please pray for Dick and Betty Kay.
Dick sent a quick note to thank us for our
prayers and support that continue to sustain
them in the will of God. He’s hoping in the
near future to be able to share the direction
of ministry the Lord seems to be leading them
into. Pray for wisdom and good health as they
continue with their work. Pray for Bud and
Lynda to finish their house soon. Pray for their
financial situation.
12. Please pray for Tony Pursell and
the Elders as they meet tonight to continue
discussion on Chuck's succession plan, our
continued growth in the Children's ministry,
and current and future building needs. Pray
for wisdom in seeking God's will. Praise God
that He continues to bless CBC financially in a
difficult economy thru the faithfulness of our
congregation. To God be the glory!
13. Please pray for Pastor Peter and the
Good News Club at Camp Creek Elementary.
This is a new outreach we started at CBC with
some other churches in the area. The Good
News Club is associated with Child Evangelism
Fellowship (CEF) whose goal is to share the
gospel and disciple kids in our school. A typical club will have a snack time, a Bible time,
a small group time, and then a worship time.
Our club has about 25 kids attending on average every Friday after school. We have a wonderful crew of helpers from our church that
take time out of their day to share the Word
of God. Please pray that the children would
see their need for Christ Jesus our Savior and
trust in Him and that those who confess Christ
would grow in their faith.
14. Pray for Boyden and Lois Donmoyer.
Pray they can get their health insurance to cooperate for the scheduling for Boyden's back
surgery. Lois is doing GREAT!!! Pray for their
overall health and safety as they continue to
serve us in the different capacities. Thank God
for this lovely and dedicated couple.
Pure love for Jesus
Jesus has many who love His heavenly
kingdom, but few who bear His cross. He has
many who desire consolation, but few who
care for trial. He finds many to share His table,
but few to take part in His fasting. All desire to
be happy with Him; few wish to suffer anything
for Him. Many follow Him to
the breaking of bread, but few
to the drinking of the chalice
of His passion. Many revere
His miracles; few approach the
shame of the cross. Many love
Him as long as they encounter no hardship;
many praise and bless Him as long as they
receive some comfort from Him. …
Those, on the contrary, who serve Jesus for
His own sake and not for any comfort of their
own, bless Him in all trial and anguish of heart
as well as in the bliss of consolation.… What
power there is in pure love for Jesus — love
that is free from all self-interest and self-love!
