DURING THE FIRST QUARTER
QUARTER of 2015 we will be preparing a Management Plan for
the churchyard at Holy Trinity. This is an opportunity to take a strategic view of what
we have, what we are happy with and what we need to change in our management of
a vital resource for the church and the wider community. If you would like to get
involved, please let me know.

Almighty and ever-living God,
clothed in majesty,
whose beloved Son was this day presented in the Temple,
in substance of our flesh:
grant that we may be presented to you
with pure and clean hearts,
by your Son Jesus Christ our Lord,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

THE TEMPLE
IN TOUCH
February 1st 2015
THIS WEEKEND WE CELEBRATE
CELEBRATE CANDLEMAS, or The Presentation of Christ in the
Temple. We remember the great gift of Jesus, and that his parents Mary and Joseph
wanted to celebrate that as they presented Him in the temple. It sometimes called
Candlemas because we remember that Jesus is the Light of the World and He
commands us to shine in the world also. In some churches, traditionally this is the
day when all the candles for the next church year would be blessed.
OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES... Ever wondered about Tuesday Time and
thought it was just a lot of glueing and glitter? Well, this week I would like to share
with you a short note Adam (aged 7) wrote to Jesus. Adam asked me why Jesus had
to die on the cross, and after we had talked about this he wrote: "Dear Jesus, sorry
you died. But I love you so much. Herod was nasty to you, I would never be nasty
to you. I love you as big as the world. You are the best person in my life. Love,
Adam."
