HONORING THE SANCTUARY . . . Please be reminded to respect the sanctity of God’s house
by not bringing food or beverages, including water bottles, in the Sanctuary. Also, please do not
stick items in the bible/hymnal holder compartment of the pews & remember to take all of your
belongings with you. The only place food and beverages are to be consumed is in Fellowship
Hall. Let us all be good stewards and not risk ruining church property and wasting tithes made to
God on repairs that would not otherwise be necessary. Thanks to everyone for your cooperation.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
THANK YOU . . . Dear Salem Congregation: Many thanks for your prayers, kindness,
condolences, visits and overall support from Salem members during the transition of my husband,
father, and friend too many. We also want to thank you for your contributions to the home going
service for Clarence L. Watts on Friday, January 16, 2015. The reflections from former colleagues,
friends and family helped to clarify the influence of Clarence’s positive encounters with many in
the workplace and community. In addition, the eulogy, music choir and solos certainly enriched
the quality of the service. In the long run, Clarence L. Watts personified the indomitable spirit of
Salem. He was baptized by Reverend William J. Lucus, married by Reverend Robert Johnson Smith
and eulogized by Reverend Marshall Paul Hugh Mitchell. Yours in Christ, Rosalyn Watts, Mark
Watts, Robin Watts Campbell, Harvey Campbell and the Watts-West Family
To Pastor Marshall Paul Hughes Mitchell, Minister Nate Jones, and the Salem Baptist Church: I
Rev. H. David Pryor, son of the late Jean Pryor-Ball would like to thank you for the church
resolution presented at the home going service on January 3, 2015. Jean Bell was a long-time
member of Salem Baptist Church and took great pride as a member of the Wm. J. Lucas Library to
which she was very dedicated. I thank you for the kind words written in the resolution and will be
forever grateful for your sincere acknowledgements concerning my mother. Again, I say thank
you. Rev. H. David Pryor
