Schedule-A appended hereto (hereinafter referred to as “the said Regional Plans”)

And whereas, the Govt. of Maharashtra is of the opinion that in the public interest, it is
necessary to incorporate urgently a comprehensive Regulation in respect of Integrated
Wayside Amenities, (as described in Annexure-B), in the sanctioned Development Control Regulations for the said Regional Plans, and to accordingly modify the said Regional
Plans, as per the provisions of Section 20(2) of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the
proposed modification”);
Now therefore, as provided in sub-section 3 of the Section 20 of the said Act, the Government hereby declares its intention to make the proposed modification and for that purpose,
invites suggestions and / or objections from any person with respect to the proposed modification. Suggestions and / or objections shall be submitted to the concerned Divisional Joint
Director of Town Planning who is hereby appointed as the “Officer” for giving hearing in
respect of the suggestions and / or objections received in this regard and submit his report to
the Government;
Only suggestions and / or objections received by the concerned Divisional Joint Director
of Town Planning, within a period of 30 (thirty) days from the date of publication of this Notice in
the Official Gazette will be considered.
This Notice shall be made available for inspection to the general public during office hours

to the proposed Regulations specified in the Schedule appended to this Notice

To be Secular or Communal?
There was controversy over the demands
for dropping the words ‘secular’ and ‘socialist’ from the Preamble of the Constitution.
Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah
said that the Preamble, as it stands today,
should remain and that there is no need to
change it. What is now needed is for Prime
Minister Narendra Modi to endorse his political aide, Mr. Shah, and give a public assurance on retaining the two words.
BJP is on record owning up their ideological umbilical cord to RSS whose Ideologue Shri
Golwalkar disparages democracy as alien to
Hindu ethos. RSS Ideologue thinks in terms
of only Hindu India. Shri Golwalkar demonizes those Indians not born in Hindu fold. In
his formulations non Hindus Indians must
entertain no idea but glorification of Hindu
race, culture or may stay in country, subordinated to Hindu Nation, claiming not even citizen’s rights.
Many Hindus bitterly ask the question,
“How did the entire Nagaland become Christian? Then why shouldn’t India become all
Hindus?”
Indian history is replete with conversions
of Hindus to other faiths. Many of our present
day citizens had Hindu ancestors. The government should allow only voluntary reconversions but not coercion.
If conversion has to be abolished then make
all conversions illegal by an act of law. Hindus
are justifiably worried due to alarming rate of
growth (24%) of Muslims in India since it is
likely to deprive them of the majority status
in their own motherland, within decades.
“Ghar wapsi” is not a solution to this growing
demographic imbalance but only an attempt
to focus people’s attention to the growing menace. All responsible citizens of India should
first follow family planning in the interest of
the nation, before airing grievances.
It is agreed that whatever you add or delete in the constitution, a secular feeling has
to be developed in spirit and soul when we live
in a country like India. Conversion is not a
solution or an ultimate end of life. Let us accept the fact that when Mr. Obama won the
presidential election in the USA, there was an
in depth research in European countries about
the possibility of the person of foreign origin
occupying the highest office in their countries.
So one can’t blame the Hindus in India if they
think along the same line.
Conversion by a third person, only with an
intention to increase his tribe is not legal. But
a self generated urge to convert to any religion chosen by an individual is a right guaranteed by the constitution. This principle does
not differentiate majority and minority communities and it equally applies to the Christian missionaries in their “conversions” as well
as Hindu protagonists to their action in Ghar
Vapsi. Secularism is a concept which is applicable to India as it does in Western polities.
Even though the word is not defined in the
constitution it definitely means that religious
laws are not justiciable in Indian courts nor
should the religious laws influence civil laws
in the country. Hence India cannot have a
‘state religion’ nor can it have a state scripture as recently pointed out by Susma Swaraj.
The constitution is our state scripture and the
policy pronounced by it, is the religion of this
country.

Maharashtra Lok Kalyankari Seva Sanstha is conducting scholarship workshops to help students of IV and VII standards who are

No. TPS-1814/Sankirna/CR-150/14/UD-13, dated /01/2015:- Whereas, the Government in Urban Development Department has sanctioned the Regional Plans
for various regions as mentioned in Schedule-A appended hereto (hereinafter
referred to as “the said Regional Plans”) under Section 15 of the Maharashtra
Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 (hereinafter referred to as “the said
Act”) vide various Notifications (hereinafter referred to as “the said Notifications”) from time to time which have come into force, with effect from the dates as
stipulated under the said Notifications;
And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra has made applicable the “Standarised Development Control and Promotion Regulations for Regional Plans in
Maharashtra” vide Notification no. TPS-1812/157/CR-71/12/ Reconstruction No.
34/12/UD-13 dated 21/11/2013 under Section 20(4) of the said Act (hereinafter
referred to as “the said Regulations”);
And whereas, the Government of Maharashtra is of the opinion that in the
public interest, it is necessary to incorporate a new Regulation for granting additional FSI for construction of “Star Category Hotels” along National and State
Highways in “Agriculture / No Development Zone” with basic, and additional FSI by charging premium in the said Regulations as prescribed in Annexure - B, and accordingly modify the said Regional Plans, as per the provisions of
Section 20(2) of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the proposed modification”);
Now therefore, as provided in sub-section 3 of the Section 20 of the said Act,
the Government hereby declares its intention to make the proposed modification
and for that purpose, invites suggestions and / or objections from any person with
respect to the proposed modification. Suggestions and / or objections in this
regard shall be submitted to the concerned Divisional Joint Director of Town
Planning who is hereby appointed as the “Officer” for giving hearing in respect of
the suggestions and / or objections received in this regard and submit his report to
the Government;
Suggestions and / or objections received by the concerned Divisional Joint
Director of Town Planning, within a period of 30 (thirty) days only from the date of
publication of this Notice in the Official Gazette will be considered.

Regulation No. 24,15 - Additional FSI, in Agriculture / No Development
Zone, for Star Category Hotels along National and State Highways:(ii) Development of buildings for star category hotels in No Development Zone
along National and State Highways shall be permissible upto FSI limit of 0.10 on
gross plot area, in accordance with Regulation No. 22.5 (xxiii).
(ii) Additional FSI upto 0.90 on gross plot area, over and above the basic FSI
permissible under clause (i) above, may be granted by the Collector on payment
of premium at the rate of 50% of the land rate as prescribed in the Annual Statement of Rates (ASR) for the year in which such additional FSI is granted. Such
premium shall be deposited in the concerned Branch office of the Town Planning
Department for crediting the same into Governemnt Treasury.

Confidence tricksters on the prowl

VASHI: Tricksters targeted two men and looted
them of Rs 1.70 lakhs using simple tricks on Monday morning.
In the first incident at Sector-17 Vashi, Baskar
Ghanshyam Naik (54), a resident of Sector-11 Koperkhairane, had withdrawn Rs one lakh from the
bank and was walking back. A trickster caught up
with him, threw dirt on his clothes and pointed out
to him in a deliberate attempt to divert his atten-
tion. Taken aback, Naik kept the bag containing
the cash down and got busy removing the dirt. The
trickster came close apparently to help him to clean
the dirt, picked up the cash bag and walked away.
When Naik realized what had happened, he went
to Vashi police station and lodged a complaint.
Within a few minutes, the tricksters were at
APMC market where they targeted Chetan Goradia, a businessman from Sanpada. Goradia had
parked his car near Vighnesh Innovation and was

Loot two men in a matter of hours
getting ready to go into a shop when two men approached him. One of them told him that something is lying under his car. With his curiosity
roused, Goradia bent down and got busy trying to
make out what it was. That was the opportunity
the conman was waiting for. He picked up the bag
containing Rs 70,000 cash kept on the front seat of
the car and walked away. After a little while when
Goradia realized what had happened, he went to
APMC police station and lodged a complaint.

Bhoir has been chosen
for this year’s Yoga Mitra Puraskar given by
the Yoga Vidya Niketan. He received it from
the hands of Minister
for Co-operation, Chandrakant Dalvi who
graced the occasion as
the Chief Guest.
The Award instituted in 2002, is given to
one who dedicates himself to the teaching and
propagation of Yoga.
Bhoir has been learning
and teaching Yoga for
the last about 11 years.
Speaking on the occasion, Dalvi reminded
his listeners that the
United Nations Organisation has named 21st
June as World Yoga Day.
He also dwelt on the
benefits of practicing
Yoga on a regular basis.
