VENUE
Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Corner Old Cleveland Road & Tilley Road, Chandler.
ELIGIBILITY
Swimmers must be a registered member of a Brisbane club affiliated with Swimming Queensland. Swimmers
meeting this requirement who do not have Australian Citizenship may compete as visitors, in heats only and
are not eligible for points or medals. Members of overseas swimming federations are ineligible. It is the
responsibility of each club to verify the eligibility of swimmers nominated by them.
AGE
Age group of competitors for the Championships is the age as at the first day of competition (i.e.7 March
2015). Athletes cannot swim ‘up’ an age in individual events.
RULES
All Swimming Queensland General Rules, Championship By-Laws, FINA & SAL swim rules apply.
PHOTOS
In nominating for these Championships, swimmers agree that they may be photographed by Brisbane
Swimming approved photographer; and that they may also be used by Brisbane Swimming on their social
media sites, in their publications and on their website.
ENTRY INFORMATION
Entries may only be submitted by the Race Secretary of a club affiliated with Brisbane Swimming using a
Team Manager (TM) Entry file. Race Secretaries can download the instructions, entry information and Team
Manager Entry file here.
Individuals must contact their Club to complete the nomination process. Entries will not be accepted
from individual members.
All Swimmers nominated must be ACTIVE and FINANCIAL members of Swimming Queensland in the online
registration database.
Qualifying times can be used from 1 January 2014.
Entries will not be accepted unless the qualifying times have been swum at a sanctioned long course
qualifying meet prior to this Championships’ closing date. Short Course or converted Short Course times,
club nights, club championships, time trial times, no times or NT are NOT ACCEPTABLE. (Please refer to the
Swimming Queensland Happening Calendar for approved meets).
A PENALTY of $25 will apply in each instance that a qualifying time is not met at the meet, and proof that
the swimmer attained the standard prior to the meet is not provided.
ENTRY FEE
$9.00 (GST inclusive) per event
CLOSING DATE
ONE complete Club TM Entry file must be received by Midnight, Monday 23 February 2015.
Incomplete TM entry files will attract an administration fee of $25 per club.
LATE NOMINATIONS
ALL entries submitted after the closing date will incur a late nomination fee of $50.00 per swimmer, per event.
Late entries will be accepted in the timing room up until ½ hour before the commencement of the first day of
competition. Late entries are subject to lane availability in the event, and may result in the swimmer being
entered in the slowest heat.

REFUNDS
Refunds will only be given on receipt of a medical certificate received by BSA no later than 7 days after the

PREMIERSHIP POINTS
Points will be awarded in all Divisions.

Medals will be awarded to all placegetters in the following age groups:

Finalists who did not receive medals may collect a Finalist Ribbon from the timing room. Where there are
timed finals, the next 7 time-placed swimmers after the placegetters will receive ribbons.

The following major awards will be presented:
Marilyn Carseldine Trophy - Best All Round Performance
Earn McAuliffe Trophy - Best Performance in Form Strokes
SWD Swimmer of the Meet – Best Performance in Multi Class Events
TOWEL AWARDS
Towels will be awarded to the male and female swimmers who score the highest number of points in their
own age group (i.e. 8yrs, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11yrs, and 12yrs). The male and female Swimmers
With Disability with the highest number of points will also be presented with a towel award. Points will be
