JOINT MEDIA ADVISORY WORKING LUNCH OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AFRICAN FIRST LADIES AGAINST HIV/AIDS INVITATION TO THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE MEDIA WHAT: The Organization of African First Ladies against HIV/AIDS (OAFLA) in collaboration with the U.S. Centers for Control and Prevention (CDC) takes up the issue of Polio, or poliomyelitis, an infectious viral disease affecting African countries. Polio eradication is an issue facing countries across Africa with a constant threat of reinfection from migration and travel. On the event, African Union First Ladies will “call to action” in a continent-wide effort of leadership and political commitment to Africa’s polio free future for women and children.
