Show management has the right, at any time, to prohibit a person from entering this class if they feel he/she is extremely overqualified, even though they may fit the ‘no earnings’ criteria. These classes are for entry level riders! Entries for all classes will close 9PM Wednesday before show. If mailing, must be RECEIVED by Wednesday. Classes may be post entered at the show for an additional $10. (Cattle classes only if cattle are available) There will be series awards for all classes based on a point system. All horses that receive a score over 0 will receive points. 1 point for 1st + 1 point for competing + number of horses defeated. Each additional placing receives points equal to the number of horses defeated+1 for competing. It is a sport that is dangerous and unpredictable. I know that horses may buck, kick, rear, bite or make sudden movements that could cause injury to the rider or any bystander. Additionally, I am riding at a boarding stable an competitive arena with cattle present. I acknowledge that the boarding stable, pastures and arena’s may have rocks, water, holes, tree branches or other obstacles. These areas also carry inherent risks of injury to my horse and myself. I also knowingly and voluntarily accept the inherent risks of riding at a boarding stable. I am voluntarily participating in these activities with the knowledge of the danger involved and hereby agree to assume any and all risks of injury, whether known or unknown, associated with horses, horseback riding and the use of these facilities and surrounding areas. I hereby release Shane Parson and Kim Parson, their families, employees and affiliations from all liability for any acts of negligence or want of ordinary care on the part of Kim Parson or Shane Parson, their families, employees or any of their agents in consideration for the ability to participate in events sponsored or organized by Shane Parson or Kim Parson or the use of the Diamond Bar Arena facilities and property. In consideration for being permitted by Shane Parson and/or Kim Parson, their families, employees or any of their agents to participate in these activities and use of their facilities, I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians and legal representatives will not make a claim against, sue, or attach the property of Shane Parson and/or Kim Parson, their families, employees or any of their affiliations, for injury or damage how so ever caused as a result of my participation in horseback riding, use of the facilities and surrounding areas. I expressly waive any rights I may have under California Civil Code 1542, which states:” A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him might have materially affected his settlement with the debtor.” I agree that I will indemnify and hold harmless Shane Parson and Kim Parson, their families, employees, agents and affiliates against all claims, demands, and causes of action including court costs and actual attorney fees arising from any proceeding or lawsuits brought by or prosecuted for any benefit in which this release is upheld. Shane and Kim Parson, their families, employees or any of their agents shall not be liable for any damage which may accrue from any cause or as a result of fire, theft, running away, state of health, injury to person, horse or property.
