MD / MS
Eligibility:
A candidate for admission to the MD/MS must possess a degree of M.B.B.S. duly recognized by the
Medical Council of India and should have obtained permanent registration from any of the state
medical councils of India. Candidate not possessing a recognized medical qualification for the above
purpose should secure the prior approval regarding qualification by the Medical Council of India before
he/she can be admitted to the MD/MS. course. The candidate for admission to MD/MS course should
have completed his/her C.R.R.I. (Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship) on or before 31st
March 2015.
Course Duration:
The duration of the course is three academic years. The academic year for MD/MS commences in the
month of April every year.

Admission Procedure:
The admission for MD/MS degree course is based on merit depending on the performance of the
candidate in the Entrance Examination. An All India Entrance Examination will be held on 21st

February 2015. The results of the examination will be published on 28th February 2015. Counseling
will be held on 25th March 2015. The course will commence on 22nd April 2015. The formal induction
of new students will take place at Saveetha Medical College on 22.04.15 at 10.00. AM.
Application for the Entrance Examination 2015:
The Application for the PG Entrance Examination will be issued from 05.12.2014 onwards.
Applications can be obtained on payment of Rs.2000/- by cash (or) D.D. taken in favor of “Saveetha
University”, payable at Chennai in person, (or) Rs.2050/- by Post. Applications can also be
downloaded from the Website www.saveetha.com, and the completed applications forms should be
accompanied by DD for Rs.2000/- taken in favor of Saveetha University, payable at Chennai.
Completed Application forms should reach the Director of Admissions, Saveetha University, Chennai
on or before 16.02.2015.
(There is no need to send any original or photocopies of certificates along with the application form for
the entrance examination).
The hall ticket will be sent by post to all the applicants before 19.02.2015. Those who have not received
the hall ticket by 19.02.2015 can contact 'The Director of Admissions' by phone [044 -2680 1050] or
email [email protected].
Date and Venue of the Examination:
The Examination will be held in the University Examination hall at the Saveetha University Campus,
162, Poonamalle High Road, Chennai – 600 077 on 21.02.2015 between 9.30 AM and 12.30 PM.
Scheme of Entrance Examination:
There will be 300 multiple-choice questions. Each right answer carries one mark. There is no negative
marking. The duration of the examination is 3 hours 30 mins.

Counseling:
The examination result and the call letter for counseling will be sent to the selected candidates. The
selected candidates should appear for counseling on the said date and time. The counseling will be
held on 25th March 2015 in the University Campus. Seat allotment will be done based on the rank list
subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria.

The candidate should be present for the counseling at appointed date and time without fail. It is
mandatory that the candidate brings the prescribed tuition fees (mentioned below) to appear in the
counseling.
In case of candidates securing equal marks in the entrance examination, the candidate with higher
score in the qualifying examination will be given preference. Candidates who are not present for
counseling on the specified date and time do not have any rights to claim any seat.
The Candidate should be present for the counseling accompanied by a parent / guardian. The
following original documents with three sets of attested photocopies should be submitted at the time of
counseling if selected.

2.Mark Certificate from First year to Final year M.B.B.S.
3.Certificate of Completion of Internship.
4.State Medical Council Registration Certificate
5.Proof of date of birth
6.Attempt Certificate from First to Final M.B.B.S.
7.Transfer certificate from the Institution last studied
8.Conduct certificate from the Institution last studied

11.Certificate of Vaccination against Hepatitis B

Fee Structure:
The Candidates once selected for admission should pay the following fees at the time of admission
and thereafter in the month of May every year. The fees once paid will not be refunded. In case the
candidate wants to discontinue/ withdraw during the middle of the course, he/she has to pay the entire
course fee (for three years) before discontinuing from the course.
