ac c ording to their ow ners' rec ords have com pleted the requirem ents for a cham pions hip but w hos e c ham pions hips are
unc onfirm ed. T he show ing of dogs w hose cham pionships are unconfirm ed is lim ited to a period of 90 days from the date
o f s ho w w h ere a d og co m p le te d th e requirem ents for a cham pionship according to the ow ners ' rec ords .
JU D G ES AW AR D OF M ER IT
T he C lub offers an Aw ard of Merit to deserving Labrador R etrievers for recognition of their quality. It is entirely at the
judge’s decision w hether to give all or none of the available Aw ards. Aw ard of Merits are selected from the Labrador
R etrievers in the Best of Breed C om petition, other than the Best of Breed and Best of O pposite Sex w inner. T he num ber
of Aw ards is determ ined to be up to 20% of the Best of Breed entry.

NOTE: As the judge’s decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the merits of more
than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to
compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes.

m erits of the get. T he ow ner of the stu d d o g need not be the ow ner of the get. T he Stud D og m ay be entered

T rophies and Prizes (including cash prizes) w ill be aw arded in the judging rings to the person exhibiting the dog, w ho
w ill be considered to be the ow ner or agent of the ow ner. All claim s for trophies and other prizes m ust be m ade in the
judging ring before the com pletion of the judging of the breed, and the Event Secretary advised at once in the event of
any disc repancy. N o aw ard will be m ailed. If a trophy listed is u n a va ila b le, a trophy of equal or greater value w ill be
aw arded.

G ENER AL IN FOR M ATION AN D SHOW RU L ES
1. Entries must reach the Event Secretary, Sharon Licciardi, 38513 12th Street, E., Palmdale, CA 93550 by 6:00pm (PST), Wednesday,
January 29, 2015. Fees must accompany entries. This club and/or its event secretary assumes no responsibility for wrong or
incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. This club and its event secretary assume no
responsibility for the owner or owner’s agents entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete, or for entering the
same dog twice.
2. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check.
Subsequent returned checks for the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. The returned check must
be made good by cash or money order before the dog will be allowed in the ring.
3. Exhibitors’ conformation slips and judging programs will be mailed to the address given on the entry blank. If not received within a
reasonable time prior to the show, notify the secretary. Conformation slips and judging programs returned by the Post Office marked
‘undeliverable’ will be held by the Secretary.
4. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call, and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly, in order that the
judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. It is the
responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the
class. Owners of dogs or the handlers of the dogs alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. This means
it is not the responsibility of the ring steward, nor of any agent of the show-giving club to locate any dog, its owner or handler, when
the dog’s presence is needed in a judging ring. It should be understood by every exhibitor and handler that waiting for dogs to be
brought into the ring is a courtesy extended to the owner or handler of the dog. There is no rule of this club nor of The AKC that requires
a judge to wait for an owner or handler to bring his dog into the ring. Show hours 7am-6 pm.
5. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in the judging rings to the person exhibiting the dog, who is considered to be the owner or agent
of the owner. All claims for trophies and prizes must be made in the judging ring before the completion of judging the breed. Notify the
secretary of any discrepancy. No trophies or prizes will be mailed.
6. Exhibitors are admonished to make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse
side of the entry blanks that accompany this premium list. Rule books are available at the Secretary’s table at the show or may be
obtained from the AKC,5580 Centerview Dr., Raleigh, NC 27606.
7. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire
time the dog is on the show premises.
8. No grooming tables, pens or exhibitors setups will be allowed in the aisles and all grooming must be done away from the judging ring
in areas specified by the club.
9. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, barred from
competition by action of the Bench Show Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly.
There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry.
10. There is no provision offered for un-entered dogs at this show.
11. Declination of Entries. The Club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of
disease, viciousness or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Kennel Club or any official thereof.
12. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the
show, no refund of entry will be made.
13. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the San
Diego Labrador Retriever Club, Inc, its members or agents, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from
overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.
14. Matting is required in all exercise pens.
15. A Recording Fee of 50¢, a Event Service Fee of $3.00, and a $3.00 Rally Trial Fee will be required for each dog entered at any
Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial, Rally Trial or Tracking Test. These Fees are to be collected by the Show-giving Club
and paid to the AKC. If a dog is entered in more than one class at the show, the Recording Fee and Event Service Fee are to be
collected on the first entry only (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2).
16. Dogs which according to their owners’ records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for
the show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed
Competition, provided this transfer is made to the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of the earliest Conformation
judging at the Show.
17. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class after the Closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class
to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made to the Show Secretary at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of the
earliest conformation judging or one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the Show, whichever is
earlier.
18. Dogs which according to their owners’ records have earned an obedience or rally title after the closing of entries for the show may be
moved up to the next class, provided this transfer is made in writing and presented to the Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start
of each trial. Move-ups may be approved, provided the next level class (i.e. novice to open) and judge are available and the class has
not reached its limit.
19. The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
20. There shall be no drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises.
21. All dogs shall be kept on leash except when in the obedience or exercising ring or confined in crates.
22. The welfare of an exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will
exercise control and restraint over their children on the day of the show.
