FOOD SERVICE
The Siberian Husky Club of Greater Detroit will provide a free lunch both Saturday
and Sunday. Coffee and donuts will also be offered one hour before judging each
day.
ACCOMMODATIONS
We ask our exhibitors not to leave dogs unattended in hotel rooms unless crated.
Please do not bathe dogs in the hotel rooms. Hotels are getting more and more
difficult to find, so please take care that we do not abuse the privilege of bringing
our dogs into the room. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their own
dogs in all hotel/motel properties. Please check with hotels about pet policies.

Directions
From I-94. Take the Baker Road Exit and go north. Continue on Baker Road until it
ends in downtown Dexter. Turn left onto Ann Arbor St. then take an immediate
right onto Central Street. Go around "Monument Park" but stay on Central and
cross the Huron River. Go right on Joy Road for approximately 1/4 mile until you
see the Dexter Martial Arts sign. Turn right and CSRC is the building immediately on
your right. Parking is in the back.
RV Overnight Parking Available
Free Overnight parking is for RV’s ONLY. Pre-registration with Chris Schram at
[email protected] is required.
Booth Space
There is no cost for booth space but space is limited. Pre-registration is necessary
and we ask that you donate a product from your booth valued at $25 for a future
raffle of the SHCGD. Please contact Sue Haase, ASAP, (248) 585-7810. Please

Fees include the $.50 AKC Recording Fee and the $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee on
the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 AKC Event Service Fee for each additional entry
of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single entry classes.
BUILDING INFORMATION
The Show Site will be available to exhibitors on Friday evening between 4 pm and 8
pm for set-up only. The Building will open at 7:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. The
Show Committee asks that exhibitors please stack crates. NO Ex-Pens allowed. No
underage puppies or non-entered dogs are allowed on show grounds. Owners
and agents are required to clean up after their own dogs in all area.

SWEEPSTAKES AND VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES (Offered both Saturday and Sunday)
Sweepstakes is open to all Siberian Huskies who on the day of the show will be 6
months of age and under 18 months of age. All dogs entered in the Sweepstakes
must be entered in the Regular Classes at this show. Sweepstakes will be judged
prior to the regular classes EACH DAY. Professional handlers will be allowed to
show in sweepstakes.

VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES CLASSIFICATION
The Veteran Sweepstakes is open to all Siberian Huskies who on the day of the
show will be 9 years of age or older. Veteran Dogs/Bitches entered in the
Sweepstakes must be entered in the Regular Classes at this show.
Neutered dogs and spayed bitches are eligible for Veteran Sweepstakes.

CASH PRIZES FOR SWEEPSTAKES
35% is retained by the Club for Expenses
10% of total purse awarded to Best in Sweepstakes
5% of total purse is awarded to BOS to Best In Sweepstakes

ALL BREED OBEDIENCE TWO DAYS
Open to All Breeds and Mixed Breeds in the AKC Canine Partners Program. There
will be one Obedience Trial on Saturday and one on Sunday. A qualifying score will
be required for all prizes. A dark green qualifying score ribbon will be given to each
dog receiving a qualifying score. Refunds will be given for bitches in season with a
note from a veterinarian, minus a $10.00 processing fee. Entry limits are 7 hours of
judging each day.

ALL BREED RALLY – SATURDAY ONLY
Open to All Breed and Mixed Breeds in the AKC Canine Partners Program. There
will be one Rally Trial on Saturday only. A qualifying score will be required for all
prizes. A dark green qualifying score ribbon will be given to each dog receiving a
qualifying score. A refund for bitches in season will be issued (minus $10 processing
fee) with a vet statement. There will be a limit of 25 rally runs.

Secretary's office

All checks and money orders (In US Funds) should be made payable to SHCGD.
Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for cash sent through the mail. Entries
sent without fees will not be accepted.
Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practical after entries have
closed. Should such acknowledgement not be received by the exhibitor within a
reasonable time, please contact the Show Secretary at [email protected]
No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any
conditions as to its acceptance. Post dated and returned checks do not constitute a
valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $30.00 Collection fee to each
returned check.
The Siberian Husky Club of Greater Detroit and the Show Secretary, their agents,
employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained
by exhibitors, handlers or in any of their dogs or property and further assume no
responsibility for injury to children.
No refund for duplicate entries. Every effort to find duplicate entries will be made.
Owners are responsible or errors in making out entry forms whoever may make
such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or
cancellations after the published closing date and time.
Telegraph, telephone and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on
official AKC entry forms and photocopies of entry forms without agreement and
rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC entry form are not acceptable.
Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners are responsible for the
presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called. Dogs may
arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for
further judging will be excused.
All dogs must be held on leach or confined to their crates except when being
judged.
All persons attending this show hereby waive any claim for damages against the
Siberian Husky Club of Greater Detroit or its members, in the event a motor vehicle
must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper
ventilation.
The use of foul or abusive language may result in a Bench Show Committee
Hearing.
Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendations to assure their dogs
are free of internal/external parasites, any communicable disease and have
appropriate vaccinations.
All cellular phones must be turned off or set to vibrate while within 20 feet of any
ring.
Spectators/exhibitors are allowed to videotape dogs in the ring as long as it does
not interfere with judging, the comfort of exhibitors and/or obstruct the free flow
of foot traffic. Flash photography of dogs while they are competing inside the show
ring is not permitted.
Class cash prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for
prize money must be made in the ring before the judging is over. The Show
Secretary and the SHCGD disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging is
over. All trophies will be awarded in the ring. No trophies will be mailed.
Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified,
excused by a Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of the
Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the
control of the management it is impossible to open or complete the show, no
refund of entry fees will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as but not
limited to storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat must be considered for the
health and safety of the exhibitors, dogs and spectators. The well being of the dogs,
exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance in the event it is necessary to
cancel or stop the show before completion. No refund of entry fees will be made.
This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry
form for these events.
No baby strollers are allowed in the building.
AKC National Owner-Handled Series
Saturday and Sunday
The AKC National Owner-Handled Series in a non-titling completion for dogs that
are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers*. All dogs that are
owner-handled and are not solely owned or exhibited by professional handlers
meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is
Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form.
Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward’s book and the catalog.
Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show
by an eligible owner. Professional handlers, household members and current
assistants** to professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in this competition.
Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to
compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch
and winners of the non-regular classes.
 If the Best of Breed winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will
automatically be the Owner-Handled Best of Breed.
 If the Best of Breed winner is not eligible for Owner-Handled competition
and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed is eligible, the Best of
Opposite Sex to Best of Breed will compete against the eligible exhibits of
the other sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed.
 If neither the Best of Breed nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed
are Owner-Handled competition eligible and Select Dog and Select Bitch
are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from
the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch.
 If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all Champions and non-regular class
winners of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit
from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners.
 If the regular show Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed,
Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judge may choose any
eligible dog who competed in Best of Breed including Winners Dog or
Winners Bitch as the Best of Breed for the AKC National Owner-Handled
Series.
*Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has
belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards,
or otherwise advertise or presented themselves as handling dogs for pay
within the last five years.
** A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional
handler on a full-time basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show
or any show during the cluster/weekend.
