ADM Congress 2015
Tuesday 10th February 2015
Dear Colleague,
It is my pleasure to invite you to our annual Defence/
Industry event, the ADM 2015 Congress in Canberra 10
February 2015.
The ADM 2015 Congress aims to put the spotlight on
opportunities in light of the raft of new policy documents
due to debut this mid year including a new White Paper, First
Principles Review, Force Structure Review, updated Defence Capability Plan and
new Defence Industry Policy Statement.
We will examine how both Defence and Defence Industry will need to become
more efficient to operate in a period of a declining ADF operational tempo after
such a long period of activity and under tight budget constraints that look set to
continue.
In line with this, both ADM and informa have streamlined the Congress this year
to a single day and reception rather than two days and a dinner to reflect the
changes in circumstances.
As an interdependent community, we face a new set of strategic, budgetary and
technology challenges for which both Defence and Industry need to prepare as
the new Defence White Paper comes together. The ADM 2015 Congress aims to
address all of these issues by inviting the best and most insightful speakers from
the Defence community – and also by tackling complex and contentious topics.
The 2015 ADM DMO/Industry Team of the Year Awards for Excellence, which will
be presented during a reception after the conference proceedings, remains a
team effort between ADM and the DMO. These awards aim to support the
strong relationship between project teams and their industry counterparts in
delivering capability to the warfighter. We will also announce the AIDN Young
Achiever of the Year Award, highlighting the importance of fostering the next
generation of Defence people.
This is all part of making the ADM Congress as relevant as possible and ensuring
it remains a channel for communication between the key players shaping the
future of Australia’s Defence and Industry environment.
As the ADM team has emphasised many times before – it’s our combined future
so, once again, I invite you to participate in the Congress. I look forward to
seeing you at ADM2015.
