ATOM Training delivers counter-threat courses that are informed by exceptional intelligence,
designed by dedicated programme developers and delivered by some of the world’s most experienced
subject matter experts. In addition, our experts are also established instructors with a proven track
record in skillfully presenting their knowledge.
We offer fully customisable C-IED and forensic training programmes to clients worldwide, providing a
progressive learning platform and courses that keep them informed, equipped and poised to
successfully counter threats relevant to their particular situation.
ATOM Training and Pencari have worked together to produce a unique and unrivalled set of C-IED
/Ground Sign Awareness (GSA) training courses. The courses that are integrated include EOD
Operator courses, IEDD training, Weapons Technical Intelligence training, Search Operators and First
Responder courses. ATOM will also be supporting existing Pencari courses with the inclusion of
EOD/IEDD and C-IED awareness training modules designed for GSA students.
We deliver courses that start from foundation (for participants with limited or no previous exposure
to IEDs or GSA) to programmes that will elevate participants to ‘subject matter expert’ status including
Train The Trainer (T3).
Pencari also deliver the C-IED Combat Tracking Information Exploitation and Pursuit (CTIX) Course
which provides a Force Protection and Attack the Network capability allowing for Information
Gathering and Exploitation (IX)/Pursuit. Combat Tracking through the enhanced ability of the
individual to interpret Ground (Sign) and the ‘action indicators’ left by Insurgent/criminal activity,
delivers an increased speed of manoeuvre and an improved ability to gather real time ‘immediate use
intelligence’ in all environments both by day and night. Combat Tracking is a crucial C-IED capability
that provides both force protection, proven to improve survivability by 70-80% and an offensive Attack
the Network capability offering the additional option to pursue the insurgent/criminal and interdict
his activities.
Many of our courses can be conducted in the United Kingdom at our fully licensed training
establishment. Alternatively we are able to deliver courses in country, which we do recommend for
the more technical bomb technician C-IEDD courses where the clients’ own IEDD equipment is to be
used. Pencari courses as well as the above, can also be delivered in Limpopo, South Africa and New
Mexico, USA.

defence, security, space and transportation sectors. We focus on innovation and technological
developments in areas such as large-scale software-driven systems, secure communications, sensors
and onboard electronics, and systems integration.
Behind the scenes, we support countless secure transactions, journeys, missions and communications,
around the clock. For example, we’re responsible for securing billions of secure financial transactions
every year, worth around £1 trillion; we supply equipment, technology and communication systems
for a wide range of civil and military aircrafts, ships and land vehicles; and we protect customers and
critical national infrastructure from the ever-growing threat of cyber-attack.

provide maximum operational flexibility.
Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR): Various solutions
Thales has developed a range of airborne Intelligence, Reconnaissance and Surveillance capabilities
that address the needs of border, maritime and national asset security and safety.
Thales works with customers to define the solution that best meets the customer’s needs. Whether
there is need for an individual sensor that can be fitted to customer’s existing airborne assets to a fully
managed, multi-sensor “ISR by the hour” service.
Border control surveillance equipment and urban policing devices: various products
Thales offers a wide range of optronic equipment for border security and patrol applications as well
as for urban policing. The systems ranges from night vision equipment to very sophisticated thermal

This work was carried out in conjunction with its partner company Pro-security Ghana Ltd. Zada
provided extensive technical and operational training for the staff at PSGL as well as the operators of
the system. They have continued to support and maintain the equipment with remote net support
from the U.K.
Kenya In 2009, the directors of Zada and PSGL were invited to meet in Kenya, with the Nairobi
District Business association in conjunction with the Nairobi Police to look at the possibility of
providing CCTV over IP for the Central Business District. After extensive talks and consultation a pilot
IP CCTV system was installed on the National Archives building in the centre of Nairobi. The live
feeds from 8 cameras were transmitted via IP over what was Kenya Data Networks fibre
infrastructure back to the Police headquarters in Millimani. A team of officers at Police Head
Quarters were fully trained and the system was tested extensively. The concept was proven to work
and the police used the system 24/7 gaining continuous intelligence from the city centre.
