FOOD BANK – A grocery cart is always in the church lobby for items you would like to donate to the Food Bank.
Remember to check the expiration date as we are unable to distribute expired items. Your food bank served 25 families
(104 individuals) on January 28th. With the cooler weather, our Food Bank is collecting your donation of gently worn,
clean, coats. Kids and adults coats (coats only please) can be placed in the grocery cart in the lobby for distribution
through the Food Bank.
SPRING CRAFT & GIFT SALE – The annual Spring Craft & Gift Sale will be held on Saturday,
March 14th, from 10:00-3:00. Contracts are available in the church office from 8:00-Noon, Monday
thru Friday.

LIFE THOUGHTS--THE FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY--Christians affirm life, not because we live in a
society that doesn't, but because we serve a God who does. Our life-affirming message flows from His life-affirming
message of the Gospel. It is with His authority, not our own, that we confront the idols of our time and call sin, sin. It is
with His authority that we proclaim His forgiveness and hope to repentant hearts. From Lutherans For Life
St. John is now participating in Smart Choice Food, a national food distributor dedicated to providing grocery relief to
families across America. This program, similar to Angel Food and Mid America, will reward our congregation from 50¢
to $1 on some of the boxes sold. Contact Sandy Schatz at 323-1118 for more information.
Senior Exercise – is held on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 10 a.m. in our gym. Our instructor,
Linda Crouser, will let you know when nutrition classes, blood pressure clinics, and other special
programs are scheduled. Join us!

SPARR FUNERAL – After the funeral service for Norman Sparr, a plastic, bi-focal lens was turned into the church
