LIFE THOUGHTS--THE FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER EPIPHANY--Christians affirm life, not because we live in a society that doesn't, but because we serve a God who does. Our life-affirming message flows from His life-affirming message of the Gospel. It is with His authority, not our own, that we confront the idols of our time and call sin, sin. It is with His authority that we proclaim His forgiveness and hope to repentant hearts. From Lutherans For Life St. John is now participating in Smart Choice Food, a national food distributor dedicated to providing grocery relief to families across America. This program, similar to Angel Food and Mid America, will reward our congregation from 50¢ to $1 on some of the boxes sold. Contact Sandy Schatz at 323-1118 for more information.
