ANNOUNCEMENTS January 29, 2015 The past few days we have been telling you about The Road to Safety Program. This video contest is committed to students, their education, and their learning experience in Fulton County Schools. The school producing the winning Video will receive a Grant from Road to Safety for their Video Production classroom and the students who produce the video will receive a grant as well as free defensive driving training. In addition, the school with the most "students" in attendance at the Road To Safety 6th Annual Awards Event, will also receive a Grant. Last year, Johns Creek Audio/Video Technology and Film won this award. We hope that as many students as possible will be able to make it to Alpharetta High School on Thursday, February 5th at 7:00 in the evening. Students registered for Coding 101. Today’s meeting has been postponed to tomorrow, during 4B lunch in the Media Center. Check your email or see Mr. Wellmaker if you have any questions. The deadline for applications for the Student Leadership program Johns Creek is tomorrow. Please take your application packets to the front office to the attention of Ms. Jelleme. Attention Mock Trial Team Members: we will have a full run through of our case today and a dress rehearsal. Be ready to begin promptly at 3:45 in Ms. Fitzpatrick’s room, 299. We will have another guest attorney coach to review our performance. If you cannot attend either of these practices please contact either Mrs. Atkins or Mrs. Fitzpatrick. We are less than a week before our January 31 competition at the Fulton County Courthouse! The Power Over Prejudice Club will be meeting on Monday, February 2nd at 7:45 a.m. in room 293. FCA will meet tomorrow morning at 7:30 in the auditorium. Sophomore Madison McConnell will be speaking, see you there! Spanish Club will be having its annual zumba party on February 5th right after school. Bring $5 and come to Sr. Valenciano's room 315 for dancing, exercise and fun. Saturday, January 31st the boys lacrosse team is having a sale of equipment for a fundraiser! There willl be sticks, cleats, pads, helmets, gloves, etc for great deals! Also tell your neighbors and friends with young lax players about the FREE clinic on the 31st as well. It will be from 10-11:30 so don't miss out. Kids age 6-15 are welcome. Support your Lacrosse team! There will be a Jewish Student meeting on Wednesday, February 4th at 7:30 AM in room 171. Please join us for Starbucks, donuts and fun! Hope to see you all there. National art honors society will have a meeting Friday at 8:00 am in Ms. Kim's room. Attention all Chinese Club members. We will have a mandatory meeting on Thursday, February 2nd at 8 AM in Sra. Marquez's room to plan for International Night. Just a heads up: Art Club will be having its next meeting on Monday after school in Room 326. To all you superhero fans out there, there's a new club here just for you. The Superhero Club will hold its first meeting today, immediately after school in room 142. Stop by to learn more information about the club and possibly save the day. Freshman through Juniors: Those of you interested in trying out for the 2015-2016 Football and Competition Cheerleading Team, there will be a sign up day on Thursday February 5th right after school until 6:00 in the Cafeteria.
