WELCOME TO CONNECTIONS
2015 Discipleship Training Highlights: There are at least
three vital aspects of a leader’s private life to be deepened:
1. The Devotional Life: Don’t neglect God - To take time for
personal retreats to meet with God; to sense God’s presence
daily; to know God as our Shepherd and Master; to guard our
quiet time; to keep the Sabbath; to have a stronger prayer
life; to deal thoroughly with sin in true and complete
repentance.
2. The Developmental Life: Don’t neglect self - To grow in our
grasp of God’s Word; to have an enriching reading plan; to
have regular exercise; to rest and recharge; to learn from and
interact with mentors; to keep a personal mission statement
and to write in a journal; to have spiritual partners in a loving
relationship of accountability.
3. The Domestic Life: Don’t neglect your family - To know the
needs of my family; to give time to meet my family’s needs;
to let my family feel that I am available to them; to keep
family rituals that are enriching; to have family devotions; to
pray with my family members; to know how my family
members see me.
Our church should not be satisfied with figures. Without
discipleship from the inside out, we can easily burn out or
can merely run on empty!
2015 Youth Winter Retreat: We will be having our special
Friday Night program as part of our retreat on 2/13 @ 8 p.m.
All youth retreat participants need to check in when you
