WELCOME
TO THE NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAMME 2015
The goal of the New Student Orientation programme is to assist all the freshman, transfer and
international students who have officially registered with the Polytechnic of Namibia for the first time,
to establish a foundation for academic success.
Over the next three (3) days, the Department of Student Services will take you through the New
Student Orientation experience, which will be valuable throughout the duration of your studies at the
Polytechnic of Namibia.
The New Student Orientation is mandatory to all new students. It is the responsibility of all new
students to attend every New Student Orientation session to assimilate and accommodate information
disseminated.
During the New Student Orientation sessions, general, academic and library information is provided.
This process is your first approach towards your academic studies. As a new student at the Polytechnic
of Namibia, you are bound to have questions. The New Student Orientation sessions are the most
effective first step to get your questions answered.
Make the New Student Orientation a rewarding experience towards your academic success.
