note that, in light of the per diem-based funding offered by the EJTN, it is up to the participants to book

ERA. Please make reference to the activity number when making your individual booking. Should you

GETTING TO TRIER

Arriving by plane
Luxembourg Airport: Luxembourg-Findel airport is located approximately 30 minutes by car and 1 hour
by train from Trier.
Airport Frankfurt-Hahn: Frankfurt-Hahn airport is located approximately 50 minutes from Trier and there
is a regular shuttle service to between the airport and Trier. For information on the timetable please visit:

Arriving by train
Trier is easily reachable by train from many German and European cities. For information about railway
connections please visit www.bahn.de.
Transfers from Luxembourg Airport/Railway Station:
Participants in ERA trainings benefit from lower rates with Finkelgruens Taxi for connections between
Luxembourg airport/railway station and Trier. However, please note that taxi reimbursements by the EJTN
are not done on the basis of the actual price paid, but on the basis of the distance covered, multiplied by
0.22€ (kms x 0.22€, up to a maximum of 1200kms, i.e., 264€, in identical terms to the reimbursement of
private car travel). Participants are encouraged to travel in groups, to the extent possible.

FROM TRIER TRAIN/BUS STATION – HOTEL ARCADIA & VENUE (ERA)
Please note that local transportation costs are considered to be covered by the applicable per diem and
not by the available budget of 400€ allocated to the reimbursement of international travel costs.

By bus
Take Line 2 from Balduinsbrunnen (direction Heiligkreuz). Stop: Bernhardstraße in front of the ARCADIA
HOTEL and ERA (also applicable for Hotel Villa Hügel); OR
Take Line 3 to Treveris-Passage, and then change to line 8 (direction Mariahof) to ERA. Stop:
Bernhardstraße. The bus stop is located in front of the ARCADIA HOTEL and ERA (also applicable for
Hotel Villa Hügel).
On Saturdays and Sundays take line 82 bus (stop Bernhardstrasse) in front of the ARCADIA HOTEL and
ERA.

