She was raised in an orphanage, Kentucky Baptist Children's House, until age 18. Gail married her first husband, Stanley, at age 18 and together they had four children, Jimmy, Sharon, Rhonda and Dorsey. After divorcing, Gail met Tom and they were married. He passed away about six years ago. Together they traveled and had lots of fun. Gail worked as a "metermaid" or parking enforcement officer, in Lexington. She was employed for nearly 25 years and loved every minute of it. Gail recalls lots of interesting individuals during her work and always recommended "laughing things off." Gail loved to paint and spent many hours creating beautiful masterpieces, some of which she proudly displays in her apartment at Morning Pointe of Lexington. She also enjoyed quilting, a craft which she taught herself. Gail stated quilting was fun because "it kept her mind busy." Although Gail did lots of traveling, one place she has not yet visited is Graceland in Tennessee. Gail is a huge Elvis fan and always thought visiting his famous home would help her feel closer to him. One of Gail's favorite memories is of playing with the other children at the orphanage where she grew up. Gail says of the other children, "they are like my family and we keep in Ron Wilburn Familar piano songs Dale Cole Favorite Gospel Songs Karen Harmon Piano and songs Gail was a painter and loved to quilt touch." Gail moved to Morning Pointe of Lexington in 2014. She loves to laugh and easily makes friends with whom she enjoys sharing favorite memories.
