SUNSHINE/WEATHER: Even though it is Wintertime in most of the USA we generally have warm days and cool nights. Sun Block is highly recommended. Weather in Phoenix this time of year averages in the 70’s during the daytime and as low as 40’s at night. Generally sunny skies every day. WATER: Water is available at all times, we recommend you bring a personal water bottle if you like. Dehydration can sneak up on you, so please drink plenty of water. ATTIRE: At the Ranch, “casual” is the operative word. Everyone dresses with comfort in mind. Since our Ranch has a heated swimming pool, you’ll want to toss in a bathing suit. Pack at least one pair of jeans if you are planning on horseback riding. It will be warm during the day but desert evenings can get cool, so pants, a light sweater or a jacket are suggested. “Layering” is the key. For safety purposes, please wear shoes with closed toes around the horses. HIKING: Boots are recommended but not mandatory, you can hike in tennis shoes on most of the trails. The trails are well marked and the staff at the Ranch is very helpful in giving you details about each one. Our grounds are a perfect place to explore, relax, and each Ranchette cabin has a covered porch with table and chairs, creating ideal places to gather and converse. We have many amenities and activities onsite including a heated swimming pool, volleyball, shuffleboard, Ping-Pong, a billiard table, horseshoes and kayaking (in season). CACTUS: All cacti have thorns that are “Barbed” like a little fish hook. Cholla cactus look all fuzzy and friendly, but one touch and a segment will break off easily and attach to you. We will show you one when you arrive, and some of the other beautiful cactus…just don’t touch! EXTEND YOUR STAY: If you would like to stay longer and enjoy the ranch please contact the Ranch directly at: www.SaguaroLakeRanch.com or 480.984.2194 * see Package details on payment page.
