ISSUE 19 February 2015 Page 1 Just a quick reminder, effective January 1, 2015, the hours at the CreekView Grill are: Sundays: 7:30 am to 4 pm Mondays: Closed Tuesdays - Thursday: 4 am to 8 pm Fridays: 11 am to 9 pm Saturdays: 7:30 am to 9 pm The View From Meridian Ranch District News So far this winter we have had little moisture but the temperatures have dipped below freezing several times this year. With the freezing temperatures it can cause problems within your house such as a frozen pipe or even worse, a frozen pipe that has thawed and started leaking. In that case, you need to know where the master shut off valve for your house is located, to help ensure that the damage is minimal. Typically in every house there is a utility room located on the lower level of the house. The water line enters the house in that room and this is where you will find the master shut off valve. (see picture) If you have any difficulties locating this valve you can call us at 719-495-6567 and we will try to assist you over the phone or can setup an appointment to help show the location of the valve. If there is a something that you want to see in future articles please let us know by emailing us at [email protected]. February 2015 Design Review Council News Did you know? The community is governed by the Design Review Council ("DRC") that enforces the Conditions, Covenants, and Restrictions for Meridian Ranch DRC ("CC&R's") and the Meridian Ranch Design Guidelines. The DRC is not a homeowners association, as the homeowners do not own common property within the community. The DRC is a nonprofit corporation which is governed under the Colorado Non Profit Act. Did you know? There are a lot of walkers in the Meridian Ranch Community. Please put your trash totes in front of the curb or on the driveway so walkers can utilize the sidewalks to get to the trails. Did you know? El Paso County plows the streets, not the DRC nor the Metro Service District. The community may get quicker service if numerous homeowners call or contact the roads division at El Paso County. www.elpasoco.com Did you know? On the front page of the Meridian Ranch DRC websites the CC&R’s, the Design Guidelines and links to the Metro District, El Paso County and the Sheriff's Department can be found. www.meridianranchdrc.org Page 2 Did you know? When the temperatures reach 40 degrees or warmer it is nice to give the shrubs, trees and grass a drink of water. It is advised by professional landscapers to water approximately one minute per shrub and 2-3 minutes per tree. It is crucial to winter water your evergreens such as pine and spruce trees. Not watering can lead to plant damage. Questions? Need to submit an improvement plan? Please send to the Meridian Ranch Management Team listed below.
