ANNOUNCEMENTS
February Art Gallery & Forum
For February, the Art Wall in Channing Hall will display a local architect’s conceptual designs for a possible new playground structure. The architect, Evan
Shaw, will be available on Sunday, February 15 to discuss these conceptual ideas
from 10:00 am. to 12:30 p.m. At 11:00 a.m., Mr. Shaw will present a slide show
during the forum, including a fly-over of the potential structure. People can ask
questions of the architect that day, or place a comment in the comment box near
the display all month. The Playscape Committee wants your feedback. These
comments will be used by the committee to guide future playground planning.
Please visit the display and let us know what you think.
Member Needed for Financial Oversight Committee
The Financial Oversight Committee is seeking a new member from the Congregation. The Committee is composed of three members from the Board of Trustees and three members of the Congregation. The Committee meets 4 times a

Among the qualifications are financial literacy and expertise, a commitment to
safeguard the organization and its assets, the courage to ask probing questions
and to follow up for answers. The primary responsibility of the Committee is to
assist the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities with respect to the system of internal controls and the financial reports that the Church has established,
plus outside audits, when deemed appropriate, of the church’s books and records.
If you are interested in joining this committee, please contact Margaret Schultz,
Board President at [email protected].
