3. Scale of pay : F 5200-20200 + 1900 Grade Pay
together with DA and other allowances as admissible
to Central Govt. employees during the period of
training which is normally about 2 years. On
successful completion of training they will be fixed
in the scale of F 9300-34800 + 4200 Grade Pay
plus DA and other allowances.
4. Place of work : The employment is with the liability
to serve anywhere in the Union of India including
military service with a mobilized Survey unit. Besides
working in Office, the nature of work involves
extensive field work in remote/far flung areas.
5. Educational Qualification : Candidates must
have passed B.Sc. with Mathematics from a
recognized University. The candidates must have
good stereoscopic vision. The candidates
possessing less than 45% for General Category
and 40% for SC/ST/OBC in B.Sc. examination need
not apply.
6. Age : The candidates must be between 18 to 27
years of age (18 to 32 years of age in case of SC/
ST Candidates and 18 to 30 years of age in the
case of OBC) as on the last date of receipt of
applications. The upper age limit is also relaxable
for retrenched Central Govt. employees/
Departmental candidates/Ex-servicemen and other
eligible categories as per rules.
7. Methods of Selection : Selection will be based on
written tests in Mathematics, English, General
Knowledge with Science to be held at the above
Centers under overall supervision of requisitioning
authority. Stereoscopic Fusion Test and personal
interview will be conducted only in respect of those
candidates who qualify the written test. The
concerned Appointing Authority reserves the right
to limit the number of candidates to be called for
the interview by finding an appropriate cut off
percentage of marks obtained by them in written
test.
8. Incomplete applications and those forwarded in
violation of these instructions shall be rejected
without any further notice/correspondence.
9. Rail/Bus fare will be paid as per Govt. order to
unemployed SC/ST candidates.
10.Method of Application : Individuals fulfilling the
above conditions may apply to anyone of the above
Directorates mentioned under Sl.2.
Note : 1 : The candidates must note that mere fulfillment
of essential qualifications do not make them eligible to
be called for test. In the event of a large number of
applications being received in response to this
advertisement or through concerned employment
exchange, the concerned Appointing Authority reserves
the right to limit the number of candidates to be called
for written test by finding an appropriate cut-off
percentage of marks obtained by them in the B.Sc.
examination.
Note 2 : The candidates must attach alongwith their
application two self addressed 10 X 6 cm. envelopes
duly affixed worth Rs. 5/- postal stamps on each
envelope.
Note 3 : The duration of test and interview may extend
to about 2 to 4 days and candidates should make their
own arrangement for stay.

accompanied with Govt. of India notification declaring
that such qualification is equivalent to Matric/10th class
pass for service under Central Govt.
Physical Standards :
(1) For Gen, SC & OBC : except those in (2) (3), (4),
(5) & (6) below} : Height - 170 Cms Chest : Minimum 80
CM with minimum expansion of 05 CM
(2) All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes except
those in (6) below subject to production of certificate as
per Appendix -”D”. Height - 162.5 Cms, Chest : Minimum
76 CM with minimum expansion of 5CM
Sequence of Recruitment : Candidates whose
applications are found to be in order shall be called for
further stages of recruitment. Each stage except written
examination will be qualifying in nature. Failure to qualify
in any stage will result in elimination of the candidate
from the recruitment process.
1. Height Test : Candiates will be made to pass under
a bar which has been put at the minimum height
required. Those who pass through under the bar will be
rejected
2. Run : 5 Kilometers to be completed in 24 minutes
3. Physical Standards Test : Height, chest and weight
of the candidate will be recorded. Those who do not
meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected.
4. Identity Check : The identity of the candidates who
qualify will be verified using such means as may be felt
necessary.
5. Documentation : Documents in support of
educational qualifications, domicile and other eligibility
criteria, relaxations etc. will be checked. A candidate
will be rejected if he fails to produce any document
required in support of his eligibility criteria, relaxations
etc. Further all certificate/documents should be in the
format specified in appendices. Candidates seeking
reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/Minorities must
ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per
eligibility prescribed in the Notice. They should also be
in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed
by Government of India in support of their claim at the
time of the Recruitment.
6. Written Examination : Candidate who qualifies in
5 KM Run, Physical Standard Test, Identity Check and
documentation will be called for the written examination.
The written examination for 100 marks will consist of
100 objective type multiple choice questions to be
answered in 120 minutes.
The question paper will be set to assess the general
awareness/general knowledge, knowledge of elementary
mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability to observe
and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge
of the candidate in English/Hindi. The questions will be
set both in Hindi and English.
7. Merit List : Merit lists in each category (UR/SC/ST
& OBC) will be drawn separately in respect of each
State/UT on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in
the written test. In case of tie in marks, the candidate
with older age will be higher in the merit list. Further tie
shall be resolved by comparing the height, educational
qualification and alphabetical position of the first name
in sequence till the tie is resolved. Candidates with more
height, higher educational qualification and earlier
position of first name in alphabetical order will be placed
above.
8. Final selection : The final selection of the candidates
will be made in order of merit in each category and
allotted vacancy to each State.The cut off percentage
of marks for appointment will be:-General & Exservicemen : 35% and SC/ST/OBC : 33%
9. Medical Examination : Candidates who find a place
in the select list as per the available vacancy in each
category in the state will be called for medical
examination. Candidates will be classified as “FIT” or
“UNFIT”. There is no provision of “Temporary Unfit”. Those
found fit will be issued offer of appointment.

below along with requisite application fees of Rs.50/(Rupees fifty only) in the form of Postal Order drawn in

recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first
Post graduate degree. Note-Teaching experience in any
other post like the post of General Duty Medical Officer/
Medical Officer shall not be considered for eligibility

B. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of eight years’ of experience
of teaching and or research in Computer Science in an

Assistant Professor in a University, College or
Accredited Research Institution/Industry excluding the
period of Ph.D research with evidence of published work
and a minimum of five publications as books and or
research / policy papers. Explanation:- I) The term
“Good Academic Record” means at least 55% marks
or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the 7 point scale with
letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F at Master’s Degree
level in Computer Science from an Indian University or
an equivalent Degree from accredited foreign University.
II) Fulfillment of any one of the conditions stipulated at
EQ A (iii) will be considered sufficient towards
requirement of EQ-A (iii). III) Consolidated API score
requirement of 300 points from category III of APIs shall
be as stipulated by UGC Notification dated 30 Jun 2010
as amended vide UGC notification dated 13 Jun 2013
for the post of Associate Professor. Note I: A relaxation
of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s
level for the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe /
Differently-abled (Physically and visually handicapped)
categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing
good academic record during direct recruitment to

QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: A. EDUCATIONAL:
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned
University with at least 55% or an equivalent grade in a
point scale wherever grading system is followed at the
Master’s Degree level in Chemistry from an Indian
University or an equivalent degree from an accredited
Foreign University. (ii) Must have cleared National
Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants
Commission, Council for Scientific and Industrial
Research or similar test accredited by the University
Grants Commission. (iii) Notwithstanding anything
contained in clauses (i) and (ii) candidates who are, or
have been awarded a Ph.D Degree in accordance with
the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards
and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.Degree) Regulations,
2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the
minimum eligibility condition of National Eligibility Test
(NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility
Test(SET) for recruitment and appointment of Assistant
Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/
Colleges/Institutions. (iv) National Eligibility Test (NET)/
State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility
Test(SET) shall also not be required for such Masters
Programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET
is not conducted. Explanation:- (i) The term ‘Good

acquired in the field of Organic/Inorganic/Physical
Chemistry will be treated as relevant for the purpose

GUIDELINES FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATlON

No other mode of application shall be accepted. No
documents are required to be sent to AAI in connection
with the applicition.
1. Before registering/submitting applications on the
website, the candidates should possess the following :a) Valid E-mail ID. The e-mail ID entered in the online
application form should remain active until the
recruitment process is completed. No change in themail ID will be allowed once entered
b) A facility to take Print out of the Challan form and
Registration slip
c) Have latest scanned passport size coloured
photograph (not more than 06 months) as well as
scanned own signature in digital format (.jpg or jpeg file
only, as per the instructions given at the time of filling
up of application) for uploading with the application.
2. The candidate can access the online application
form at our website. The online registration site would
be open from 0900 hours on 12th January, 2015 to1800
hours on 10th February, 2015.
3. After applying online, candidate can download the
filled application form generated by the system with
unique reference number, which may be retained for
future reference.

MODE OF PAYMENT
1. All General and OBC category candidates are
required to pay me application fee through System
Generated Challan at any branch of State Bank of India
at the time of submission of application. SC/ST/
Women applicants are exempted from paying the
application fee. Fee once paid will not be refunded
under any circumstances.
2.1 Candidates are required to download and print the
bank challan after completion of Step-1 in duplicate
and submit to the nearest SBI Branch, along with
an application fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupees five hundred
only) including bank charges. On submission of the
challan. unique transaction number (Journal Number)
will be generated and the same would be written by the
staff at the Bank. The bank portion of the challan will
be retained by the staff and the remaining portion will
be given to the candidate for future reference. The
candidate should ensure that the 'Journal Number's
entered on the challan before leaving the bank.
2.2 The candidaters required to check his/her application
status after 48 hour so depositing the fee in the Bank
for confirmation by log in the online software so that
he/she can complete Step-2 of the application. In case
confirmation is not received, then he/she may email
the Grievance Redressal Form duly filld in to helpdesk.
2.3 Candidates are required to enter all information
correctly application form and verify the same before
final submission, as changes shall not be permitted
after submission of the application form.
3. On successful submission of the application the duly
filled in application will be sent to their registered email
id with refernce number. The candidates can login to
AAl website for all the information regarding examination
schedule. admit card for written test, interview etc.
4. Responsibility of recerving, downloading and printing
of admit card for written test/interview/any other

equivalent percentage of marks as per norms adopted
by the University/Institute at the time of interview.
h) Employees of Govt./Public Sector Undertaking should
forward their applications through proper channel and
will be required to produce NOC at the time of interview.
i) The written test will be held at Delhi/Mumbai/Kolkata/
Chennai/Guwahati/Allahabad/Ahmedabad/Hyderabad/
Nagpur and Thiruvananthapuram. The number of centres

will be asked to appear at other centres than specified
