Lewis County Chamber of Commerce WWW . LEWI S COUN TY CHA MB ER . O RG February 2015 Newsletter Often, once the holiday season is over, many of us forget about those less fortunate! We live where many months out of the year are cold and snowy and, believe it or not, we have a high number of homeless and those in need in our area. You don’t have to donate a large amount of money to make a difference! Just some non-perishable items to the local food pantry or small items to the local nursing home can help put a smile on someone’s face or feed a hungry child. Time is another thing that can be donated. Many organizations in our area use volunteers. Very rarely do you hear of volunteers being turned away because there are too many people on hand to help! Please don’t forget no matter what time of the year it is you can never give too much or donate more than can be used. Be it your time or a little extra you might have at the end of the day, let’s not forget our neighbors and those who could use a boost up!
