- Hello RSD parents! The next PSA meeting is Monday, February 2,
2015, at 6:30 p.m. in the LRC. Go to the RSD PSA Web page to get
the Feb. 2 meeting agenda and flyer. Our special guests will be Donna Ayer
and Dr. Mindy Hopper who will discuss Incidental Learning Strategies with
Deaf Children. Interpreters and light refreshments will be provided. Call
585-286-4605 or e-mail rsdpsa@gmail to register for childcare (no cost
to families) during the meeting. All RSD parents and staff are encouraged
to attend. Thank you.
- RSD High School Regents and RCT Exams will be administered this
week through Thursday Jan. 29. The second quarter ends Jan. 30; third
quarter starts Monday Feb. 2.
- Monday, February 16: Presidents' Day; RSD will be closed. February 1620: Mid-Winter Recess; no school for students.

- Congratulations once again to RSD girls varsity basketball player
Brianna Di Giovanni who set a new girls basketball career points record
on Monday, January 26 vs. Rochester Career Mentoring Charter School in
the RSD gym. To read more about Brianna's historic, record-breaking

more photos. Kudos to RSD student videographer Hunter Luther
who shot this video for SportsMX of Brianna's now-famous basket and
the recognition ceremony that followed on the court during the game vs.
RCMCS.
- Results of the Deaf Health Survey, 2013: NCDHR is proud to host
three Town Hall Meetings/Community Forums to share the results of the
2013 Deaf Health Survey. The first meeting will be held tonight Wednesday, January 28th, from 4pm - 7pm at the Saunders Research
Building, 265 Crittenden Boulevard, Rochester; Room 1416. Click here

- Rochester School for the Deaf Alumni Association: RSDAA
Weekend, April 11-12, 2015! Events and activities are planned for
Saturday on the RSD campus and Sunday at the Diplomat Banquet Center

- Rochester Deaf Rotary: BBQ Chicken Cook-Out and ROCingo,
Saturday, March 7; 5:00 p.m. dinner with ROCingo at 7:00 p.m. at RRCD,

- Ballet Prestige of Rochester, 1855 Monroe Ave. in Brighton Commons
announces ballet and dance lessons for deaf and hard of hearing children
of all ages (4 and up) and ability levels. Group lessons are $10 each per
student, per session and include professional dance instructors - one who
is an ASL/English interpreter and one who is a child of a deaf adult. For

Conference, "Connecting the Dots: Child, Family, Community," June 2528 at Indiana School for the Deaf. Conference registration links are
now open. Families of deaf and hard of hearing children and Deaf
education professionals are encouraged to attend. Conference activities
include more than 30 workshop sessions, children's day camps, keynote
speakers, evening events with food and entertainment and more.
