churchlanguage,achanceatredemption.Statisticstellus
thatnearlyhalfofAmericansmakeaNewYear’sresolution,
althoughonly1in8arelikelytokeepitforthewholeyear.
However,thestatisticsalsotellusthatpeoplewhomakea
NewYear’sresolutionare10timesmorelikelytochange
theirlivesthanthosewhodon’t.
WhatifeveryonesittinginthepewsofPrinceofPeace
decidestogetseriousaboutGodthisyearandmadeone
concreteresolutiontoaccomplishthatgoal?Whatwould
thatlooklike?Howwouldthatchangethelifeofourfaith
community?Mysuspicionis,thatwouldcompletelyshake
ourcommunityatitsfoundation!
Because,here’sthedifferencewhenyou’retalking
aboutthingsofGod:Hetakesourmeager5loavesand2
ishesandmultipliesit.Thisisabeautifulmystery!We
don’tcreatethetransformation.WeofferGodwhatwecan
andHebringsfromitthebounty.Whetherinourheartsor
inministry,weareneverresponsibleforthegreataccomplishments;itisalwaysGodatworkinus.Thisshould ill
uswithgreatjoyandfreedom.
Therearesomanyresolutionsyoucouldmake.Only
youknowtherightoneforyou.Perhapsyouwantto
startprayingdaily.Maybeyouwouldconsidermakinga
resolutiontopray5minuteseveryday.Justmakesome
